The ultimate foundation for oily skin types in summer. It provides flawless coverage and leaves a beautiful matte finish without any excess oil. Keep in mind that in winter, due to its matte formula, it may cause some cracking on the skin. Consider this when purchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 16, 2019
The vibrant color helps create a beautifully radiant complexion. It feels a bit thick. If you apply heavy skincare underneath, it tends to clump and pill, so it's not something I reach for often. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 24, 2019
It adheres well to the skin and leaves a soft, matte finish. The shade is a bit lighter than expected. Without using a brush, it can make your skin look less than ideal. For those with dry skin, if you don't apply anything beforehand, your skin might feel tight. Apply it using a brush, then gently pat with a damp sponge for the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 7, 2019
Great value for money........... I have sensitive skin and it seems to be causing some blemishes... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2019
First off, the coverage is really impressive! These days, I apply my skincare, sunscreen, and then use this product for spot coverage before heading out. I think it would work especially well for those with oily skin types. For me, it seems a bit too light in shade. I'm mostly using it on areas that need extra coverage. Occasionally, it can accentuate dead skin cells, but when that happens, I make sure to do a thorough skincare routine and mix in a drop of jojoba oil when applying. - mu*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2019
It's great for people with blemishes and easy to use. The staying power is long-lasting and it provides good coverage. While the staying power is good, after a bit more time, it tends to rise up on my oily skin, unfortunately. Since I have oily skin, I mix this product with a bit of loose powder before applying. It lasts longer and prevents oil from coming through. - ts******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 25, 2019
This is my holy grail for covering pigmented scars. It's become a staple in my routine, even better than concealer. Please, oh please, don't ever discontinue this! When I need to cover a large area of scarring on my cheeks that would normally require loads of concealer, this adheres perfectly and creates an even complexion. Being a matte product, it can accentuate texture on areas with small bumps or severe unevenness. It's best to only cover flat, pigmented areas. I didn't buy it for use on my T-zone, so I didn't deduct points, but when applied there it feels heavy and drying. That's why I ended up using it only on my cheeks. (In my case, I apply foundation all over, then use this product to cover the severely scarred areas from the cheekbones to the lower cheeks and towards the ears) The Smarter product itself runs light, so this shade 23 is more like a 21 in foundation. If the tone/color doesn't quite match your foundation, you can pat the edges with a puff to blend away any lines for a natural look. (But be careful not to over-blend the covered areas or it'll get messy) Plus, repeat thin layers for best results. If it feels dry due to its matte finish, spritz on a hydrating mist after finishing your base for a natural, healthy skin look. Also, washing the firm pancake puff once or twice will make it comfortably plush - up*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 1, 2019
Interestingly, I don't apply the Smarter to my face, but rather to my neck. My face is slightly sensitive, so even though Smarter has good ingredients, it's a no-no for my face. My usual makeup style is just evening out my complexion, so I prefer the natural #23 shade. I usually do a bit of tone correction on my neck too, but applying foundation or cushion didn't make much difference, so I had given up. Then one day, I happened to receive a sample of Smarter and applied it to my neck... The coverage and color were incredibly natural! It has decent staying power (note: I've been using it from late autumn until now, so I haven't experienced it in summer yet). Even a tiny amount is enough for a natural, even skin tone! First off, the ingredients aren't great. It also tends to transfer onto clothes. However, interestingly enough, even though it's not a dewy type, the coverage still holds up. Because of its rich texture, I apply a moisturizer to my neck and let it absorb before using Smarter. This way, even a small amount provides good coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 22, 2019
As someone with oily skin, I found this decent to use on its own. The coverage is satisfactory, and it does a fair job of enhancing skin appearance as advertised. It's extremely light. Though labeled as shade 23, it's more suitable for those who typically use shade 21. Be careful with application - too much can look cakey. While it works fine alone, I'd recommend using it over a base product, almost like a concealer. Always apply thinly. Personally, I preferred using a damp beauty sponge over a brush for application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 25, 2018
It absorbs well even with a small amount. I used shade 23, and it matched my skin tone perfectly, which I loved. As expected from a BB cream, it naturally faded away as time passed. The shades tend to be lighter, so those who usually use shade 21 might find shade 23 more suitable.
