I appreciate the stable ingredients and the glass bottle packaging. It's nicely hydrating too. I'm not sure if the ingredients justify the high price, though the consistency is good. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 31, 2017
I'm using this with the base emulsion. When I only apply the emulsion, my skin feels dry, so I always make sure to use this serum! For the first 1-2 months, I didn't notice much difference and started to get impatient, but now I see that many of my blemishes have cleared up. I'll keep using it! It's a bit inconvenient that this needs to be refrigerated. Can't be helped though... Because it's expensive, I try to use it sparingly. Sometimes I only apply it every other day. But seeing how my blemishes have improved, it doesn't seem to be a big issue. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 4, 2017
I bought this for winter hydration, and I'm pleased that it doesn't cause much dryness even without oils. The texture feels like applying thin honey - it's quite sticky. While it absorbs better over time, it easily attracts dust to your face, which is bothersome. The high price doesn't help either. On a separate note, I wish I could find genuine reviews for Skin&Cell. It's disappointing that they run monthly review events on Hwahae, resulting in an abundance of overly positive feedback. Gently patting the product onto your face instead of rubbing seems to cause less irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 5, 2016
I liked that it was less sticky than a moisturizer. It's gentle, which is great. I don't see much difference between this skin emulsion and a moisturizer. In terms of feel, it's just less tacky than a moisturizer? The price is jaw-dropping though... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 13, 2016
It's more hydrating than the Base Emulsion. My skin feels a bit cooler and smoother. I think I'm starting to see a subtle glow? While it's supposed to have better regenerative properties than the Base Emulsion, I haven't noticed any major changes yet. But I repurchased it hoping it might help fade my acne scars. The ingredients are also safe. Given how rare oil-free cosmetics are, I'm just happy this exists! It's pricier compared to the Base Emulsion and Moisture Plus. Although you use about half as much, so it evens out in the long run, the initial cost can be off-putting for first-time users. Also, sometimes the essence alone feels hydrating enough, but other times even this isn't sufficient and my skin feels tight. It's concerning that my skin feels dry even in summer - I worry about how it'll be in winter. But I'm going to keep using face masks and see if the dryness improves over time. They say to use it within two weeks, but I've been storing it in the fridge and it seems fine even after that. Given the price, I'm continuing to use it, but if you're uncomfortable with that, you could always use the excess on your body to finish it faster. - dh*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 21, 2016
My skin has improved significantly overall while using Skin&Cell. Notably, I no longer get pustular acne, and my complexion has brightened by one shade. It's a bit stickier than the base emulsion, but that means it's even more hydrating. This is a product that makes me excited about the potential for even better skin. The price is a bit steep, especially for the serum and face mask in the Skin&Cell line. Other products aren't too expensive, but those two are pricey. Still, I'm satisfied because I no longer need to browse other cosmetics or visit dermatologists or spas. Since I started using Skin&Cell, I haven't even used a single common sheet mask, so in a way, I might actually be saving money on skincare. It's not exactly a pro tip, but for problem skin, you should focus on intensive treatment with the face mask. Also, use it with patience. I committed to trying it for over 6 months, and fortunately, my skin improved without any adverse reactions. I'm grateful for that. To be honest, my skin is sensitive, so I used to spend a lot of energy trying different products and constantly searching the Hwahae app for reviews before buying anything. Now I don't have to do that anymore, which is fantastic. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinApr 22, 2016
My skin tends to go haywire during ovulation. I used to get cystic acne, dullness, and tiny bumps. Especially those painful, red, unpoppable pimples were really stressful. I heard that using a foaming wash with non-oil products works best, so I ditched my 10-year-old cleansing oil and switched to Skin Cell's mist, essence, and Moisture Plus. Now, even during ovulation, I don't get cystic acne anymore. Maybe one or two occasionally pop up. It's only been three months, so there's no major change, but just the fact that I'm not getting cystic acne is a huge win in my book. They say your face might break out more at first as it purges residue from previous products. For me, tiny bumps appeared on my forehead, cheeks, and chin, with about 10 cystic pimples on my chin. Thankfully, after a week, the cystic acne calmed down. After a month, about half of the tiny bumps on my forehead disappeared, and those on my cheeks and chin were completely gone. For about a month, my face was insanely dry with noticeable dead skin cells. But if you can get through this phase, your skin gradually improves. Especially when you see the CEO's responses on their website telling you to just trust their products and endure, it almost feels like a cult leader. Even their company name is 'Creation and Life'. Someone advised that if you're switching to Skin Cell, you should thoroughly read all the Q&As and reviews on their website. That advice is spot on. You really need to prepare yourself mentally before starting to use it. You have to endure the initial breakouts to see the light at the end of the tunnel. - p4****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 25, 2016
The hydration was great. The serum felt more moisturizing than a regular moisturizer. I bought this because of the good reviews, but it stung badly on first use. I persevered anyway. Even when I woke up with red blemishes, I used it again. But then tiny bumps appeared all over my face - forehead, eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks, and chin. I'm giving up. Can't even exchange the serum... If anyone wants to buy 3 bottles of serum, I'm selling them for $45. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2016
My skin was gradually worsening, becoming more sensitive, and experiencing increased redness due to laser treatments and incompatible cosmetics. After using Skin&Cell, I can genuinely feel a slow but steady improvement. This gradual progress actually gives me more confidence in the product than if it worked quickly. It seems particularly effective for redness, especially post-laser damage and blemishes caused by cosmetics. My complexion is becoming clearer and slowly calming down. The most challenging part is the continuous appearance of dead skin cells, but I'm resisting the urge to touch them, understanding that this process allows healthier skin underneath to surface. Interestingly, areas where I had blemishes are experiencing more intense peeling. I've switched my entire skincare routine to Skin&Cell, using a mask twice a week. For makeup, I'm using a small amount of Guerlain foundation. As I see my skin gradually improving, I'm feeling more hopeful and confident. I highly recommend this for acne-prone, sensitive skin prone to redness. If you can endure the dryness and peeling during the first couple of months, you'll start to believe you can regain the beautiful skin you had when you were younger. I rarely write reviews, but this product compelled me to do so. I've tried a wide range of skincare products, from high-end lines like Sisley and Guerlain to more affordable options like Namyang Aloe, Skinfood, It's Skin, Physiogel, and Avène. However, none of them seemed to address skin aging, persistent discoloration, and redness. Skin&Cell is definitely providing a solution to these issues. I'm not affiliated with Skin&Cell in any way... I'm just worried about what I'd do if this company went out of business and I couldn't use this product anymore, which is why I felt compelled to write this review. I hope everyone can regain healthy skin! The only downsides are the inconvenient packaging, the need for refrigeration, and the stickiness of the product when it gets on your hands. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinMar 17, 2016
The journey of oil-free skincare begins with Savvian and ends with Skin&Cell! It's the product that finally tackles the unresolved dryness and tiny bumps from oil-free cosmetics. Using just this one product is amazing. It's completely free of preservatives and additives. Even perfect for baby heat rash! I'm in love with it! The price is really steep, but once you try it, you can't stop using it. Still, it would be nice if they could lower the price a bit. It completely clears up baby eczema and heat rash!
