- The absorbs well, giving a pleasant sensation on the skin. - There's a subtle ginger scent, which I personally found quite nice. - Avoid using when you have super sensitive skin. Even without particularly sensitive skin, the areas where the mask was applied turned slightly red. While it didn't cause a full-on allergic reaction, there seems to be some irritation. - As it's a sebum control mask, it adheres tightly to the skin, causing a feeling of deep dryness. It's also a bit challenging to wash off. - hh*****Combination SkinRecommendedApr 24, 2024
You can visually see it absorbing oil as time passes, and after washing it off, your skin feels refreshingly clean. It dries quickly and tightens the skin quite intensely, which might be considered a drawback for some. - ki**********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 19, 2024
I need to use clay masks for pore care, but I always feel like they strip away too much oil and moisture from my face. This one is less harsh though. It's incredibly gentle. Even when it dries and you're washing it off, it dissolves in water more easily compared to other masks. It's the best clay mask in this price range. If I had to pick something, it would be the ginger scent? But it's not unbearably strong, so it's tolerable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 31, 2023
After cleansing, I didn't feel much tightness. In fact, after applying this as a base, my skin felt more hydrated than usual. Even though my skin is typically sensitive to new products, this one didn't cause any blemishes to appear. As expected, it's not dramatic. It seems better than the volcanic clay mask, though... I have a feeling that with consistent use, you'll be able to see definite results with your own eyes. - kw********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 10, 2022
I have combination dehydrated skin with acne and sensitivity. Currently dealing with dermatitis, unfortunately. I initially tried this product as a sample when buying a fixer, and I loved it so much that I purchased the full size. * Quick-drying! It takes only 6-7 minutes to dry completely * Smooth application! Despite its clay texture, it glides on effortlessly * Effectively removes dead skin cells and excess sebum, leaving skin feeling soft * Safe for combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin! My skin usually turns red at the slightest irritation, but this caused no such reaction * It's hard to find in stores. Since there aren't many cosmetics shops carrying it, you have to buy it online from the brand's official website * It has a noticeable ginger scent, which might not be everyone's cup of tea - ji*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedMar 8, 2022
As someone with dry, sensitive, blemish-prone skin that's prone to redness, here's my take: #Scent I expected a strong smell, but it's only faintly noticeable when applying and quickly fades. It's not an unpleasant scent. #Application It spreads much more smoothly than other clay wash-off masks. It glides on effortlessly. #Drying sensation The instructions say to rinse with lukewarm water once it's dry. As it dries, you feel a slight tightening effect (not from dryness, but from the clay contracting). It's similar to those 'zombie' masks! #Rinsing It washes off gently and cleanly. Unlike other mud masks that clump and require vigorous rubbing to remove, this one rinses away easily without much irritation. That's a big plus for me. #Post-cleanse results The effects on skin texture and oil control are quite good. My complexion looked noticeably clearer. #Overall It's been a while since I've found a wash-off mask I like this much. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. I haven't noticed any downsides yet. If I think of any, I'll update my review. For now, there's nothing negative to report. - ki**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 14, 2022
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with severe deep dryness and sensitivity I received a sample of this product when I bought the fixer, and I'm planning to purchase the full-size version because I was completely satisfied after just one use! First off, it's made with vegan ingredients, so I felt safe using it. It's incredibly gentle with no irritation. I usually avoid these hardening mask-type products because they tend to irritate my skin, but this one is absolutely mild! I applied it after cleansing and washed it off after 7 minutes. It rinsed off cleanly without any residue. When I applied my skincare routine right after, my skin felt moisturized yet refreshed. I applied a bit more on my nose where I have severe blackheads, and it felt so refreshing. I loved how it made my skin texture feel firm and supple. It's excellent for balancing oil and moisture levels. I'm definitely buying the full-size product, and the price is quite reasonable too! The full-size product comes in a jar, which does make me a bit concerned about hygiene. - so**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 7, 2021
I've been a fan of #SoNatural for a while now, mainly using their skincare basics and sheet masks. This was my first time trying their cream mask! Unlike traditional clay masks, it dries quickly in about 7-10 minutes, even when applied thickly, which I found convenient. The yellow clay effectively absorbs impurities and excess sebum, while the moisturizing ingredients leave your skin feeling hydrated. It's great for special care routines! You can use it on specific areas or all over your face, whatever suits your needs. They're also committed to #VeganBeauty, using eco-friendly soybean ink and 100% sugarcane-derived paper for packaging to reduce environmental impact! Since it's a drying clay mask, if you get distracted and leave it on too long, your skin might feel tight. Those with dry skin might want to reduce the application time by 1-2 minutes. Personally, I prefer clay masks that show visible effects rather than those that stay moist without noticeable changes, so I actually liked how quickly it dried. Make sure to keep track of the time. Using a flat spatula makes application easier. For a refreshing experience, try storing it in the fridge for a bit before use! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 29, 2021
What's going on? I've used famous products like Torriden and Round Lab without any noticeable effects, but with this one, I saw results right away! The swelling on the sides of my forehead went down, and even my large cheek blemishes started to disappear one by one. This is truly legendary... I used the gratis sample, but now I definitely need to buy the full-size product! I thought the product's scent would be unpleasant, but surprisingly, it has a healthy, subtle ginger-like fragrance. It's absolutely amazing! Apply generously, let it set, then slowly melt it into your skin. - da*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 13, 2021
Updated 07/01/2021: There's a slight tingling sensation that might make those with super sensitive skin think, 'Hmm, could this be irritating?' While I loved it when I first tried it, and won't dock any stars, I can't quite give it a 'Highly recommended for all skin types! Amazing results!' level of praise. ------------------------------------ I discovered this brand through their makeup fixer, but who knew their masks would be this good? I strongly recommend this one. First off, I love that they use non-animal ingredients and packaging, and have a cruelty-free manufacturing process. The texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, making it easy to apply. A thin layer dries in about 10 minutes. Lately, I've been so busy I've barely had time for skincare, let alone proper face washing, and my skin was a mess... (You can see the little bumps in the 'before' photo) I didn't expect much, thinking 'How much can this really improve?' But wow, after using it, my pores looked noticeably smaller! They say you can't shrink enlarged pores, but you can certainly make them appear smaller. The 'after' photo might look a bit exaggerated due to the blur effect (though you can still see the pores if you zoom in...), but the next morning, my skin looked incredibly smooth. There was definitely less oil production too. (Is it normal for it to work this well?!) As the mask dries, you'll see little dark spots appear, like oil absorbed on blotting paper - I guess that's the absorbed sebum. I had an alarming amount of these spots! This is just my first impression, but I've written such a long review you'd think I was doing an ad campaign. Ginger, yahoo~ I guess that shows how much I like it! None + Added 04/30/2021: My skin feels a bit tingly when I apply it, maybe because my skin's not in great condition... But I'm still using it because my skin feels so soft afterwards. u2606Tip 1: When rinsing with lukewarm water, using a sponge makes it easier to remove. u2606Tip 2: Following up with a sheet mask is the cherry on top. Oil & foam cleanser -> So Vegan Ginger Clay Mask -> Tea Tree sheet mask. This routine left my skin soothed and looking great. (Of course, only recommend oil cleansing if it suits your skin type) And here's a not-so-secret tip: I used to be obsessed with EWG ratings and avoided products with even one cautionary ingredient. But lately, I've found it's better to use products that work well for my skin and show good results, even if they have a few cautionary ingredients. Try not to get too hung up on EWG ratings.
