I've been using horse oil cream for acne, hydration, and flat warts with great results! When my acne was severe, everything I applied seemed to make it worse, but the horse oil cream actually seemed to calm things down by the next day. Now, I rarely get inflammatory acne (though I can't attribute it solely to the horse oil cream, haha). For dry, flaky skin, applying it with a cotton swab is like liquid gold - it provides long-lasting hydration. Flat warts are my biggest skin concern, and since I understand they're caused by a buildup of dead skin cells, I apply it when the skin feels particularly bumpy. While it doesn't eliminate the warts, it seems to help reduce their appearance! The smell is definitely the biggest drawback... Oh, and it's a bit pricey too (though I'd pay anything for a product that works). Since you only need a small amount, the price isn't too burdensome for the amount you use. But the smell - it's like a fishy odor? Sometimes when I focus on the scent, it's so overwhelming it almost makes me gag.....;( It's like applying burst omega-3 capsules to your face. That's why I used it often when my skin was really bad, but lately I haven't been reaching for it as much. I'm mostly using it sparingly, applying it with a cotton swab to specific areas. I heard the same brand has a vanilla scent version, so I might try that when I visit Japan. If that doesn't work, I'll have to look for an alternative product... (That's why it's a four-star review) The first photo might look a bit dramatic, but to be precise, it wasn't solely due to this horse oil cream. Still, it shows my skin when I was using the cream more frequently than now. Both photos were taken when I was struggling with acne-prone skin. Initially, I thought all those bumps were acne, but after realizing they were warts, I started self-care with job's tears masks, horse oil cream, and such. This is a before and after comparison! Besides these, I also exercised regularly, which may have impacted my skin as well. The second photo is the most recent, showing that my inflammatory acne has mostly cleared up. My phone is an Ultra 22, and when shooting in macro mode, it tends to exaggerate pores and hair more than what's visible to the naked eye. I used flash, which made my skin look more even than it actually is. If you look closely, you can see that the flat warts haven't completely disappeared - they seem to get bigger or smaller depending on my skin's condition. I'm still applying the horse oil cream occasionally. Personally, I think the combination of this horse oil cream and job's tears mask has been the most effective for me. I've never received professional dermatological treatment! - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedMar 21, 2021
The hydration power is exceptional. After application, your skin glows and feels incredibly soft. It's quite good overall, except for the slight stickiness due to its rich texture. I apply it before bed, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin texture is remarkably smooth. - yo*******Oily SkinAcne SkinDec 31, 2020
The way it absorbs is fantastic. When I apply it at night before bed, my face feels wonderfully hydrated in the morning. As someone with oily, acne-prone skin, I find it too rich. That's why I only use it at night before sleeping. I'm not sure if it really helps with deep dryness. It's great for moisturizing lips and heels during the winter season! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2020
As a pregnant woman, I carefully selected this 100% horse oil cream. I'm using it with peace of mind due to its lack of harmful ingredients. My pregnancy-affected skin has returned to normal. It's also excellent as a stretch mark cream. I apply it by rubbing a small amount between my palms until they're slightly shiny, then gently pressing it onto my face for absorption. A little goes a long way - it covers the entire face! The texture is similar to Vaseline when touched. Above all, the price is a great advantage, under $30. Before pregnancy, I used Charm Zone's horse oil cream. While Charm Zone's cream melts and absorbs immediately upon skin contact, this one feels like it initially coats the skin's surface. It makes your face quite shiny, and then gradually absorbs. (However, it didn't cause my makeup to pill!) - hy********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 5, 2020
A few years ago, horse oil cream became a huge trend after it was featured on TV as a celebrity skincare secret. However, I noticed many products were just riding the horse oil wave without actually containing much of it. That's why I'm so satisfied with this product - it's made purely from horse oil, which is exactly what I was looking for. This horse oil cream has no particular scent and is colorless. It's a deeply hydrating oil that feels slippery and a bit rich when applied, so I only use it at night. I love how it provides instant hydration and has long-lasting effects on my skin. Pure horse oil seems to be an expensive ingredient, as most 100% horse oil creams tend to be on the pricier side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2020
For the first time, I feel like this product improves my skin texture better than any other. Even with my sensitive, eczema-prone skin, I've tried various products like Ducray and Bepanthen, focusing on moisture barriers and texture. But nothing compares to this. I even use it for massages! Well, flawless? I'm not so sure. If you don't apply it thoroughly and in layers, you might feel your skin getting dry pretty quickly. Due to its rich consistency, you need to apply several layers to ensure adequate coverage and hydration. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 26, 2019
As someone with extremely dry skin, I'm impressed that there's no deep dryness the next day and my makeup applies beautifully. I have sensitive eyes and usually feel discomfort when applying products around them, but this one causes minimal irritation. As the weather gets warmer, the texture tends to soften a bit, becoming more oil-like. I worry about it transferring onto my pillow when I sleep, but by morning it absorbs well and feels fine. During hot weather, I keep it in the refrigerator. This reduces the runny feeling and works really well. - dy*****Normal SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2019
Here's my review after using half the jar. I'm a guy in my 20s with combination skin prone to blemishes. I bought this horse oil cream because I heard it's slightly acidic and similar to human skin. I used it for about 4 months from January to April 2019, but I'm not using it currently (it's too warm now). The texture is more like solidified oil rather than a typical cream. When you scoop a bit out, it melts into an oil with your body heat! For about 4 months, I applied toner followed by this horse oil cream before bed. When I woke up, my skin was noticeably more hydrated and firm. There's a clear difference between the mornings after I used it and when I didn't. It feels a bit heavy, probably because it's oil-based. Personally, I prefer lighter products, so this aspect was a bit disappointing for me. If you don't sleep in a proper position, it can transfer onto your pillow. The oiliness is no joke. The shine it gives is out of this world. I'd recommend using it only at night. I've heard it's also great for applying to areas like elbows and knees, not just your face! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2019
It melts like water the moment you put it on your hand, making it easy to spread evenly. I love how my skin feels hydrated the next morning when I apply it before bed. Since I started using horse oil, my small blemishes have been gradually disappearing. I'm very satisfied. It's a bit heavy for morning use. Being an oil, the shine doesn't fade quickly. - db**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2019
It's quite oily, so a small amount goes a long way on your face, making it pretty cost-effective! Where I really saw results with this cream wasn't so much on my face, but on those pesky hangnails around my cuticles. You know, the ones that look messy whether you pick at them or leave them alone? I'd been using cuticle oil before, but they'd always come back quickly with no real improvement. But when I applied this horse oil cream around my nails, those hangnails disappeared completely by the next day! It also worked wonders on particularly dry areas of my body. While it says you can use it on hair too, the scent is a bit strong for that... I'd heard so many good things about horse oil, but honestly, I didn't see much improvement in my skin. It's not that it was bad, just very... ordinary. Just your average moisturizing cream or oil, really. I'll probably go back to my regular face oil. Also, there's a slightly fishy scent to it, which isn't great. Heads up - apparently using horse oil cream and then exposing your skin to sunlight can lead to tanning. If you're aiming for a fairer complexion, I'd recommend using this as part of your nighttime routine only!
