It's so hydrating that it minimizes the appearance of dead skin cells. Plus, it doesn't seem to cause any darkening of the skin. However, it might be a bit too moisturizing for summer use. It's a shame that applying powder takes away that beautiful glow, but if you skip the powder, it breaks down and gets all messy when you sweat. - ye*****Dry SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 9, 2025
The packaging exudes luxury. The cushion itself is equally high-end. Recommended for dry and combination skin types. I use the light shade 21, and it matches perfectly, giving a radiant finish. Be careful with the amount you use. That's the key to achieving a beautiful application and flawless skin appearance. If you apply it gradually and blend well, you can achieve a truly sophisticated complexion! This isn't a cushion for careless application - it requires a bit of skill. However, when used correctly, the results are absolutely stunning. - sa*******RecommendedMay 8, 2025
I love that Sulwhasoo's Perfecting Cushion comes in lighter shades now! It applies so lightly that sometimes I just use it instead of sunscreen for everyday wear. Even when layered with other cosmetics, it never feels heavy on the skin! To be honest, it doesn't seem to cover blemishes very well. I'm not sure if it's just me, but after some time, it starts to pill a little bit on my skin. - cw*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 19, 2025
"Holy grail cushion" "High adherence" "Medium-high coverage" • Texture: Soft, velvety finish • Scent: Almost fragrance-free • Skin type: Dry, redness-prone skin with blemishes, light 21 shade with deep undertone • Application: Apply evenly using the puff • Recommended for: Calling all cushion nomads! Perfect for those with thin skin and peach fuzz, who prefer non-thick formulas with good adherence and decent coverage • Honest review: As a foundation cushion nomad who's tried almost every thin-applying product out there (Ne*ming, Rom*, Ci**do Oncheon water foundation, Hin*ce foundation, etc.), I think Sulwhasoo's cushion has reached the pinnacle in terms of user experience! It applies thinly with great adherence, good coverage, and still looks natural on the skin. Those who understand know how difficult it is to meet all these criteria. I highly recommend this for people with thin skin. The finish is super important, and it's hard to describe, but it leaves your skin looking like your natural complexion, somewhere between matte and dewy - this aspect makes your skin feel comfortable and look effortless. It's perfect for those aiming for that no-makeup makeup look. Usually, thin application means lower coverage, but this evenly covers the skin well. This was another point that amazed me. Also, the case closes with a satisfying click, which is great! The price point might be a barrier for some. Nevertheless, I would repurchase it. Recommended for those with shade 21 skin looking for a brightening effect! - 9w********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsApr 15, 2025
✔️Skin Finish It has a semi-matte finish, but overall there's a subtle glow that comes through ✔️Coverage Medium to high, buildable coverage that increases as you layer ✔️Adherence It applies as if it's sitting on the skin, so the adherence doesn't seem exceptionally strong ✔️Longevity There's a slight increase in oiliness over time, but it doesn't break apart or look messy ✔️Skin Finish Depending on your base products, it was shinier than expected, making powder a must As it's a semi-matte cushion, there was some pilling on drier areas ✔️Thickness The formula isn't particularly thin, so continuous patting can lead to a thicker application ✔️Scent It has a floral and herbal scent reminiscent of Sulwhasoo, which lingers on the face Personally, I'm not a fan of scented cushions, so this was a drawback for me ✔️Packaging The magnetic closure makes it easy to open and close, but the case is quite thick and large, making it less ideal for on-the-go use - mi********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2025
I kept seeing ads for this on YouTube, so I decided to take a chance and buy it. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The moment I applied it to my face, I felt the hydration. It adhered to my skin with a perfect, elastic texture, spreading incredibly thinly and lightly without settling into fine lines. It blended seamlessly, looking just like my natural complexion with no visible edges. The glow it gave was absolutely beautiful too. What really surprised me was that it doesn't transfer at all! The Sulwhasoo developers must be geniuses! Usually, other brightening moisturizers feel sticky, making my hair stick to my face. They also break down when I sweat and come off easily with the slightest touch. But this cushion? None of that at all! It goes on moisturizing at first, but over time it sets to a semi-matte finish that clings to the skin without any uncomfortable feeling. My hair doesn't stick to it either. I don't regret spending a single penny on this. Now I understand why moms always rave about Sulwhasoo. You really can't understand what I mean until you try it yourself. It's incomparable to other cushions. I've tried all the highly-rated ones, but Sulwhasoo is truly top-tier. One tip when purchasing: buy one shade lighter than you think you need. I saw many reviews saying it was too dark, so I went one shade up and it matched perfectly! I wanted to mention some downsides, but I'm sorry, there simply aren't any. Everything about it was absolute perfection. I'm being completely honest. - py*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 29, 2025
It's worth the price! It goes on more moisturizing than expected and spreads well with just a small amount. The coverage is good, and it has decent staying power and adherence. The shade came out much darker than expected. I have about a #22 complexion, but I need to use #17 to match my skin tone (it doesn't brighten though). I strongly recommend testing the shades before purchasing. - mi*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMar 8, 2025
It sits lightly on the skin. It can cover mild discoloration. The texture is moisturizing and spreads thinly. It's challenging to cover dark blemishes. There aren't any major drawbacks. - lo*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedFeb 28, 2025
I'm consistently satisfied with the adherence and coverage of this product I regularly use. It makes my complexion look radiant, which is why I keep coming back to it. While I'm pleased with how it covers pores, it falls a bit short on concealing uneven texture and can be slightly drying. Nevertheless, it's still the cushion foundation that gives me the most satisfaction. - sh******Oily SkinAtopic SkinFeb 13, 2025
Good coverage and moisturizing, though the color is a bit dark. I'd recommend choosing two shades lighter. I had to stop using it after just one application because it immediately caused blemishes.
