I've been using this as a toner on a cotton pad to wipe my face. It cleanses well, and even without using a separate cleanser afterwards, just rinsing with water leaves my skin feeling fresh without any oily residue. I love that it effectively removes most mascaras, eyeliners, and tints. The distinctive herbal scent typical of Sulwhasoo products is a bit off-putting. This cleansing water had a gentle feel to it. First off, the pump-type bottle made it convenient to use. It was mild and non-irritating, yet had great cleansing effectiveness, leaving my skin feeling refreshed after use. Perhaps due to the lack of fragrance, there was a somewhat ambiguous scent. Those without super sensitive skin might not notice it, but I detected a slightly musty odor. I generously applied it to a cotton pad to remove my base makeup. While it has good cleansing power, it didn't remove mascara, so I had to use a separate remover for that.

It stings a bit if it gets in your eyes though. ▪️Cleansing effectiveness • It removes base makeup thoroughly, even from clogged pores. • Using a cotton pad works better for a more thorough cleanse compared to using just your hands. • It removes most color makeup well, but struggles with glitter. • Mascara that isn't easily washable won't budge at all. To be honest, I had high expectations since it's a luxury brand product. But unfortunately, I don't have much to say in terms of positives. The ingredients are quite disappointing. While there's only one cautionary ingredient, I noticed that even some of the non-cautionary ingredients aren't great. The fragrance being positioned so high up in the ingredient list is also concerning. Setting everything else aside, as it's a cleansing water, cleansing effectiveness is crucial, but it wasn't particularly good in that aspect either. The cleansing effectiveness is pretty good. I tried a sample and it wasn't irritating to my skin. The downside is that there are so many gentle, large-volume cleansing waters available these days. Despite being a cleansing water, it effectively removed almost all types of makeup. I ran out of my usual mascara remover, so I used this as a substitute. Surprisingly, it even removed a notoriously stubborn product completely, and without any eye irritation! The only downside was the rather strong scent while wiping off makeup. Since I only use sunscreen and lip products, I prefer cleansing waters or emulsions that are gentle and less burdensome on the skin. This one is mild and non-irritating, making it pleasant to use. After cleansing, my skin feels refreshingly clean, which I really like. The value for money is quite poor. I was amazed at how soft and fresh my face felt after cleansing, without any tightness While the scent is nice and I like it overall, the one downside is the wickedly high price
