It's incredibly rich but absorbs well without feeling sticky. The texture is perfect for applying smoothly in both winter and summer. After application, your face looks revitalized. It's quite pricey. I wish it were a bit more affordable. In line with its traditional herbal-style packaging, it has a subtle herbal scent. It's not overpowering, just a gentle fragrance that I find pleasant, but it might be a matter of personal preference.
kb********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 13, 2024 (UTC+0)This product really built my trust in The History of Whoo. The texture is something even 40+ would love - they've nailed that rich, nourishing feel. As a 20-something, I found it moisturizing without being sticky on my skin. They promoted some circulation capsule or ingredient, which I was skeptical about at first, but with continued use, I noticed my skin looking more vibrant. It's thick and creamy, but with just the right amount of oil so it's not tacky. It doesn't interfere with the next steps in my skincare routine and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. There's one thing that's really, really disappointing. For The History of Whoo's flagship anti-aging product, it doesn't contain any of the key anti-aging ingredients approved by the FDA like adenosine, retinol/retinal, or even bakuchiol. Sure, there might be some saponins in those herbal extracts, but as a fan of this product, it's such a letdown! It works better for me than some other high-end lines, but still... Given how ingredient-savvy people are these days, I wish they'd revamp the formula to boost people's confidence in The History of Whoo's anti-aging line. Oh wait, looks like they actually did update it! Pro tip? Use it generously! If you buy from a department store, you get great value for money. They give lots of samples, and even though I'm not usually a fan of samples, I'm using them up quickly because the product is so good. - ch********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 5, 2023 (UTC+0)
It's moisturizing and has just the right rich texture. Even though I have sensitive skin, it doesn't cause any blemishes. It really helps with deep dryness. The only downside is the price, but if you catch a good department store promotion, they often give out lots of samples! The price is the main issue. However, if you buy through department stores, you can often get a full-sized sample bottle, which makes it seem more worthwhile! - oo******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 22, 2023 (UTC+0)
It's fantastic! Makes my skin feel hydrated and gives it a lively look. Awesome! While it absorbs well quickly, first-time users might find it feels a bit rich initially. - hi*******Dry SkinRecommendedJul 9, 2023 (UTC+0)
I'm using this product that my company provided. It's gentle and absorbs really well. The price is a bit steep to buy with my own money. It's just too expensive... - je********Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 17, 2023 (UTC+0)
I've been using this consistently for 10 years and always keep a spare on hand. It's slightly bouncy with a nourishing feel, making it perfect as a first essence year-round. I tend to avoid heavy products in summer that absorb slowly and feel sticky, but this one's great. My skin stays comfortable and hydrated without any blemishes while using it. Though it has a stretchy texture, it absorbs well into the skin without any stickiness. Its quick absorption makes it ideal for use before makeup in the morning. During seasonal changes when my skin gets dry, I layer it two or three times. It leaves my skin much more hydrated and smoother the next day. There's nothing to complain about. If you buy it online or from a consultant, it's cheaper and you get lots of samples. You can get it even more affordably when it comes out with extra volume once a year.

The scent isn't an overpowering medicinal smell, but more of an incense-like aroma, which I find pleasant. It has a delightfully bouncy texture that absorbs well into the skin. What's great is that even when applied before makeup, it adheres nicely to the skin without any pilling. Overall, it's quite impressive! The price point is quite high, so I'll need to think carefully about whether I can justify purchasing the full-size product.
