It's the ultimate brightening product. My complexion has become clearer. I have warm undertones, and my skin tone, which used to look patchy, now seems more even. It was great for improving texture, and there wasn't much irritation. It also seems to help with removing dead skin cells to some extent. The psychological satisfaction of feeling like it's a "skin tonic" I chose this as an affordable version of SkinCeuticals' CE Ferulic combination. There's another one on iHerb. That one comes in a really huge size, but this one seemed more effective. I wonder why when the ingredients are probably similar... Disappointing that you can't see the contents It's in an opaque yellow plastic container. But then again, it shouldn't be exposed to sunlight, so I guess it makes sense. If you use this and then apply a collagen mask, your skin will look as smooth as a peeled egg the next day - hi********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2024
I chose this product for its vitamin C and E content, plus its great value. While it doesn't deliver dramatically visible results, I feel uneasy if I don't use it. Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any tingling sensation. Being an international product, shipping can be a bit inconvenient. That's really the only drawback I can think of. For best results, make sure to let it absorb completely before moving on to the next step in your skincare routine. - 3d******Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 7, 2023
When it comes to serums, forget about those with unnecessary functions and no real effects. Always go for Vitamin CBA types (15-20% Vitamin C is sufficient). These are antioxidants that prevent photoaging. There's a reason dermatologists keep raving about vitamins. My basic skincare routine is simple: Vitamin CA serum followed by a moisturizer (I use an emulsion instead of a rich cream since I have oily skin). That's it. Simplify your skincare regimen. I prefer this Vitamin C serum because of its straightforward ingredient list. There's already a detailed review explaining the vitamin blend, so I'll keep it brief. This product closely mimics Skinceuticals' patented vitamin combination (pure Vitamin C + E + Ferulic acid), and it gained popularity after a blogger recommended it based on a Reddit post. For an even more budget-friendly option, there's Pura d'or, which also includes Vitamin A (retinol) for enhanced effectiveness. I chose Timeless Vitamin C because I plan to use a gentler retinal later. With Skinceuticals' patent expiring in a few years, we can expect more cost-effective Vitamin CE Ferulic serums to hit the market soon. The downside is that you need to purchase it from overseas, and finding a reliable seller can be tricky. Proper oxidation management is crucial, and there are many counterfeit cosmetics out there. I'm considering switching to a domestic product because of this. (It may sting, but that's normal. An acidic pH enhances vitamin effectiveness, with pH 3 being optimal.) Among Korean brands, Innisfree, Dr. G, and Sidmool (though its pH is 5) offer decent alternatives that are similar to Skinceuticals while being more budget-friendly. Apply 1 pump each on the forehead and chin, and 2 pumps on each cheek. Wait about a minute before applying an emulsion-type moisturizer. This is because changes in pH due to moisturizing products can reduce effectiveness. You know to stop using it if severe browning occurs, right? Refrigeration is recommended, but remember that drastic temperature changes aren't good for cosmetics, so once you put it in the fridge, keep it there. I've added Dr. Different 0.1% 'Retinal' Forte (next-gen retinol, developed with liposome technology by Kolmar) to this product. Vitamins and retinol can be used together and have great synergy. I use Vitamin + Retinal serum in the evening and Niacinamide serum in the morning. However, using high concentrations of Niacinamide (Vitamin B) together with acidic pure Vitamin C can cause skin flushing. I experienced redness even with less than 5% in a toner, so I stopped using toners altogether. (Some people follow YouTube dermatologists' routines using pure Vitamin CBA, but the Vitamin C they use is often just added in small amounts. That's why they can use high concentrations of The Ordinary Niacinamide without irritation. Even they mention not to use pure vitamins together.) - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 6, 2021
I settled on this product after seeing so many recommendations on Reddit. It's a budget-friendly dupe for Skin*** CE Ferulic. They've cleverly mimicked the patented combo of 20% Vitamin C, 1% Vitamin E, and 0.5% Ferulic Acid, but tweaked the pH to 2.4 to sidestep the patent. And they've priced it quite reasonably too! Personally, I saw the most improvement in post-blemish redness and skin texture. To be honest, I started using it out of curiosity without high expectations, as I regularly get toning laser treatments and plan to continue. But even considering that, I definitely noticed better results in those two areas compared to not using it. Another plus: the pump bottle design should effectively slow down oxidation compared to the Skin*** product. The product's pump dispenser is hit or miss - you might end up with a faulty one. They seem to have changed the pump recently, perhaps due to feedback. Ironically, I never had leakage issues with the old design, but the new one leaks a bit when pumping. Everything else is great, but I'm docking a star for this issue. Also, since it's not officially distributed domestically, it might be hard to access for those unfamiliar with international shopping. I use this product in the morning and retinoids in the evening. Applying it in the morning helps protect the skin from UV rays and free radicals caused by blue light during the day. The pH is quite low, so those with super sensitive skin should either avoid it or start very cautiously. Storing it in the fridge can slow down oxidation. Considering oxidation, it's recommended to use within 3 months after opening. If you try to make it last too long, the oxidation will progress significantly, greatly reducing its effectiveness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2020
I expected this product to be quite irritating due to its 20% pure vitamin C content. However, even after applying a generous amount, I only experienced a slight tingling sensation briefly without any major irritation. Overall, it improved my skin texture and reduced signs of fatigue. It's particularly effective on darker areas of facial skin. I was amazed to see that my skin still looked hydrated even after about 10 hours. I bought this for $4.60 using a 20% discount coupon from the official website. I wish it was available at a more affordable price from a reliable seller in Korea. The instructions say to dispense it onto your fingers, but that's not feasible. The formula is so watery that it runs off immediately. Even if you pump it directly onto your face, it drips down and absorbs quickly, making it impossible to spread evenly across your entire face. I found that cupping one hand and pumping it two or three times, then patting it onto one side of your face works best.
