My skin barrier was so damaged that I couldn't wear makeup for almost a year. But after using this cream, I felt a significant improvement in my deep dryness and skin barrier! Being a natural brand, it didn't cause any blemishes, which was perfect for my super sensitive skin. When I apply it generously before bed, I wake up with skin as smooth as a peeled egg. I really recommend it! The price is quite steep... 25,000 won for just 40ml... When you apply it generously before bed, it absorbs completely overnight, leaving your skin incredibly smooth by morning! - kd*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 16, 2025
The product has good spreadability, but it is not completely devoid of oil content. The moisture seems to be insufficient, so it may need to be reapplied. - ch********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2025
Recommended for sensitive oily skin types. As expected from a gel cream, it absorbs well and feels light on the skin. Storing it in the fridge during summer is great for cooling your complexion. The price and quantity are a bit disappointing. It would be nice if they released a larger size. Due to the high cost for the amount, I only purchase it when it's on sale. This product is rich in hydration. Adding a few drops of oil makes it suitable for night care as well. Using it morning and evening has strengthened my skin. - db*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 13, 2025
The gel cream has surprisingly good moisturizing power! The water-rich gel texture gives a slight cooling effect, and even with my dry skin, it finishes without any deep dryness, making it perfect for daily use. The blemish-soothing effect is great for irritated skin! Perhaps due to the cica ingredients, I could use it without worry even on days when my skin was red. I loved how it made my skin feel soothingly hydrated. It absorbs quickly without pilling! When applied lightly, it absorbs immediately, so there was no pilling at all even when used before makeup. The hydration might be slightly lacking in the dead of winter. The light and fresh texture is great for summer, but on really dry days, I feel the need to layer another cream on top for peace of mind. While it's in a tube, it's a bit difficult to control the amount! Sometimes more product comes out than intended, which was disappointing. Also, it doesn't quite give that satisfying clean closure feeling. If you want light and dewy soothing+hydration, this cream is very useful! It's great for daily use even for dry skin types, and especially recommended for spring to summer. Being lightweight, it's perfect for transitional seasons like now! - di****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedMar 22, 2025
1. If you check the product description pages on Olive Young or Uriage's Naver store, you'll notice it's often introduced as a soothing cream. However, when you carefully examine the ingredients, in my personal opinion, it's more accurately classified as a barrier cream using ceramide-like ingredients. It contains thermal water, squalane, panthenol, centella asiatica extract, and tocopherol. 2. While the hydration level isn't bad when applied, there are actually many more cost-effective products at Olive Young that would be better suited as all-over face moisturizers or soothing creams. 3. However, I really like this cream and recommend it. Its unique selling point is that it's silicone-free and contains copper and zinc, which have anti-inflammatory properties and help control sebum. This makes it great for those with acne-prone skin, various skin inflammations, or sensitive skin. 4. For me, as someone with extremely dry skin, I feel a slight drying effect due to the zinc content, so it's too drying to use all over my face. But for most people, especially in summer, you'll find it quite moisturizing. 5. This cream has been a huge help when my skin inflammation flared up recently. I applied it to the severely affected areas on my cheeks and forehead for the first few days. As the redness started to subside, I mixed it with Avène Cicalfate+ Repairing Protective Cream. 6. The packaging is user-friendly with a narrow nozzle, making application easy. Uriage seems to be one of the best derma brands when it comes to user-centric packaging. Overall review: 1. It's a very lightweight gel cream that's not meant to be used as a hydrating gel or soothing cream alone. 2. It's great for those with acne or very oily skin who struggle to find suitable products. Use it sparingly on areas with weakened skin barrier, especially after using acne treatments or tea tree products. 3. It's a silicone-free gel formula that's safe for those with dry or sensitive skin who dislike heavy or silicone-based products. However, some very sensitive individuals might find it slightly drying due to the zinc content. If you find it too light, try pairing it with Uriage Cica Daily Intense Repair Serum from the same line. I've had great results using them together. FYI) A 40ml tube lasts me over 6 months as I use it sparingly and not daily. My acne-prone friend always buys a tube during Olive Young sales! Give it a try! Some find it too light, others love it for layering, and many appreciate its silicone-free formula. @@ As someone who's struggled with atopic dermatitis all my life, I have extremely dry skin prone to redness all over my body. Despite having skin marked by atopic scars, I'm a 50-something woman who confidently wears swimsuits in summer. I have more ingredients that don't work for me than those that do, but instead of judging products solely based on EWG ratings, I check for ingredients I know don't suit me and often just try products directly to see how they work. I'm a beauty junkie with a bit of a reckless approach!@@ 1. Due to the zinc content, those with dry skin might experience a drying effect. However, as it's listed near the bottom of the ingredients, only very sensitive individuals tend to notice this. Most people find it quite hydrating. 2. It's not a hydrating or soothing cream. For normal skin types, it's best used as a barrier cream for spot treatment or all-over use in summer. Apply frequently to severely inflamed, purulent, or very red areas when dealing with skin inflammation. When purchasing Uriage products, make sure to compare prices between Olive Young and Uriage's Naver store. There can be significant price differences at times! - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 2, 2025
I really liked this light blue gel cream. It applies smoothly and has a refreshing feel on the skin. While I'm not sure about its soothing effects, it absorbs quickly without leaving any residue, making it a solid choice for everyday use. The tube packaging is hygienic, which is great. However, as I used it, I noticed the product would sometimes leak out a bit like an ointment. Also, while it feels moisturizing when first applied, my skin tends to feel dry again after a short while, so I found the hydration to be somewhat lacking. - jw******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 14, 2025
Absorbs well and sinks in quickly. With minimal unnecessary ingredients, it's great for acne-prone and oily skin types. However, for dry skin... Due to its quick absorption, you need to apply multiple layers before bed. The scent isn't great, and while everything else is good, the amount you get for the price... - ja********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJan 13, 2025
It's perfect for daily use. I noticed the redness on my skin gradually fading away. I'm not sure if it's because the cleansing foam wasn't fully rinsed off, but there's something that rolls off like dead skin cells. - 55********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 3, 2025
It glides on smoothly, and since I've started using this product, even tiny blemishes have become invisible. It's great for oily skin too. You can manage your skin effectively with just this product alone. The price point is high, and the quantity is small, so you need to apply it sparingly. - es**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 2, 2024
The ingredients seem beneficial, and it's great for making the skin on the back of my elbows feel soft and smooth. I can't really think of any downsides, but if I had to pick something, I guess not every single ingredient is perfect?
