It does make your skin sparkle. However, it's not moisturizing and doesn't function as a primer. It doesn't work as a primer and isn't hydrating at all. I'm not really sure about this one... - hy********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 2, 2023
It absorbs really well, leaving the skin feeling hydrated. The application is excellent. I used a 5ml sample. The manufacturer is LG Household & Health Care. Seven ingredients to be cautious about... Thank goodness it was just a sample. I would absolutely never spend my own money on this product. - eu*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJul 10, 2022
This product is rich in hydration and pearlescent effects. It's a primer used to give skin a radiant glow, similar to the popular M brand strobe cream that was all the rage. As time passes, it feels less oily and more hydrating, which is why I switched to Vdl after using several tubes of strobe cream. While the lasting hydration could be better, it still keeps the skin relatively moisturized, preventing the base from cracking or dead skin cells from appearing, which I'm satisfied with. It applies smoothly with good adherence, making it great under foundation. I'm also pleased with the luxurious skin luminosity and glow it provides. The Fresh and Original versions have only slight differences in base color, but the feel on the skin is similar. It absorbs smoothly and spreads thinly, which I really like. I often feel like primers make my skin feel heavy, but this one feels quite lightweight, which is great. While it doesn't completely cover large pores or uneven texture, it still helps my makeup adhere much better, which is fantastic! - ey*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsFeb 8, 2022
I got a sample of this somewhere and tried it out. It's the one on the right in the photo, while the one on the left is just the Lumi Layer primer, not the Fresh version. The color is completely different, with more of a gold pearl feel, and the texture is much thicker. If you're a fan of gold pearl bases, you might want to give this a try...? Take a look at the very last photo. What kind of primer, especially a pearl primer, highlights dead skin cells like that? - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 6, 2021
The texture feels incredibly lightweight and refreshing, and it seems to adhere well to the skin If you don't control the amount properly, you might experience pilling when applying foundation - sh*****Oily SkinSep 7, 2021
Moisturizing and fresh-feeling I was worried it might feel slippery when applied due to its moisturizing effect, but once absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling soft and refreshed. Enhances makeup adherence It helps the subsequent layers of sunscreen, BB cream, or foundation adhere better to the skin. Coverage It has absolutely no coverage and doesn't even help to conceal pores. Shimmer I thought the shimmer would give a radiant effect, but it just looks dull. The shimmer doesn't provide that inner glow at all. Packaging The glass bottle isn't convenient for touch-ups when you're out and about. It's best to apply in the morning and be done with it. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedJul 28, 2021
Coverage - It doesn't provide much coverage. Think of it more as a transparent primer, but it doesn't exactly fill in texture. It's more of a skin-refining feel? After application, there's a subtle, pretty flush to the complexion. What's nice is that it's not overdone, and depending on how the light hits, there's a subtle pearl-like effect that feels luxurious. Adherence - It's good. Rather than sitting on top, it feels like it absorbs into the skin. Your makeup won't slide or pill, and it actually seems to help your foundation adhere better afterwards. Application - It's a bit runnier than your typical primer. Compared to the Lumi Layer Original, it's slightly less intense in all aspects. Recommended skin tone - With its warm pink hue, it would suit those with warm undertones beautifully. Great for those wanting a natural makeup look. I didn't experience any blemish issues. There weren't really any negatives, but if I had to find one, it would be that due to its thin and light consistency, the visible effects aren't dramatic. - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessJan 20, 2021
It's great as a base when applying very matte foundations. It adds hydration and makes the skin feel moisturized. For example, it works well with foundations like Hera Black Foundation. The ingredients are quite harsh. After applying, I feel a stinging sensation around my eyes. The scent is also a bit off-putting. The alcohol content is so strong that even though I usually use up most of my cosmetics, I had to throw this one away after just a few uses. - st****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 8, 2020
The subtle pink pearl makes it great as a highlighter alternative. It's moisturizing and has a slight golden undertone, so it should suit both warm and cool skin tones beautifully. If you have prominent pores or uneven skin texture, you might want to avoid this. It could potentially settle into those areas.
