If you want to do gua sha while showering and do it quickly, it's okay to scrub vigorously with soap for a deep cleanse! I recommend trying it at least once. The hinoki scent doesn't linger. The surface is extremely rough, making it painful to scrub. If it's too harsh, I scrape off the rough parts with my nails before using. Scrubbing your entire body like you're doing gua sha leaves your skin squeaky clean. If you follow up immediately with a moisturizing body wash (I use Dove), you'll feel refreshed and hydrated. - wh*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedApr 27, 2024
It's surprisingly firm, making it incredibly refreshing when massaging the neck or shoulder areas. The smooth curves allow for a gentle, irritation-free massage experience. While I haven't used it for long, I've noticed it can be slippery to hold, which might lead to dropping it during use. I'm also unsure how to use it effectively as it gets smaller over time.
