I tested this at Olive Young on July 3, 2025, at 7:30 AM. The honey lip balm had a lovely apple-like shade that suits both warm and cool skin tones. There's not really anything to complain about. Though I think it would have been pretty even if it was a bit lighter. It absorbs beautifully, has great color payoff, and provides excellent hydration! Plus, it's so fun to see the rainbow design and how it pops out when you press it. The color didn't suit me, and it stains the lips. If you apply it frequently like I do, your lips can become really dark. The packaging is intriguing and opening it is fun - it's like clicking a ballpoint pen! Oh my goodness, it's way too intense! Seriously, most lip balms need at least three applications for proper hydration, but with this one, by the second application, you'll look like you're spreading rumors about wearing a bold lip tint. It's incredibly frustrating! I'm so exasperated. I wouldn't recommend using this as a lip balm at all. As a tint, it's quite decent though. Though marketed as a tinted lip balm, its color payoff is more intense than many lip tints. By adjusting the pressure when applying, you can achieve various color intensities. The texture is slightly on the softer side. If your lips are in poor condition or if you apply too much, it can lead to lip cracking and an unflattering appearance. The case has a simple yet elegant feel. It's a lip balm with a natural red color. It's incredibly moisturizing and the shade matches beautifully even with a bare face. It's truly an amazing product. After applying it over makeup and waiting for a while, it feels like it smudges a bit, leaving a somewhat messy appearance. It's a bit disappointing as it doesn't spread prettily and seems to break down. When not wearing makeup, it's less prone to breaking down. Still, the moisturizing function of the lip balm and the subtle red color are excellent. The application is fantastic, gliding on smoothly like a lip balm. I love how it's not colorless, but matches the picture perfectly, which I find quite appealing. It's become my favorite lip balm, completely eliminating dead skin cells on my lips! The double-layered case is great as it prevents other cosmetics from getting on it. The texture is slightly solid but feels like it's melting. I highly recommend this for those with dry, flaky lips or lips that tend to lose color easily. It absorbs better than expected! It melts a bit too easily, but that's the only downside. That's why I strongly recommend it! The shine and hydration were excellent, and the color came out beautifully clear. I love that I can use it daily without any burden. I wish they would release more color options! It's really inconvenient to have to press and click the lid to open it, and then close it again. The color is absolutely gorgeous! A light application gives a natural, healthy-looking flush. However, the color is quite intense, so it might be challenging to layer multiple times. Apply it to the inner part of your lips and blend outwards for a natural look. You can also dab a tiny bit on your cheeks for a subtle, natural-looking blush effect.

The case is pretty, and the lid stays securely closed unless you intentionally open it! For a lip balm, the color is quite intense, and the hydration isn't particularly impressive. If you apply too much, it can look a bit cakey, so you need to be careful with the amount, which can be a bit inconvenient. Remember to control the amount when applying (use a mirror while applying)

The color isn't too intense, so it's perfect for daily use even on bare skin without feeling overwhelming. After application, there's no emphasis on dead skin cells, and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, which I really like. The price isn't particularly cheap considering the amount you get, and I'm not sure if the push-button case design was really necessary... That's my only gripe though. For those with a lot of dead skin cells, I recommend exfoliating your lips before applying this product.
