As someone with sensitive skin, I always wake up with honey-smooth skin after applying this before bed. I haven't found any downsides yet, but I'll be sure to update if I do. - qh*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 14, 2024
The texture is almost water-like, and surprisingly, it's very hydrating without being sticky. Usually, products like this cause blemishes for me, but this one didn't. It's moisturizing enough to be suitable for winter use. The absorption isn't great, which I don't like. It leaves a sticky feeling after application. Also, since the product itself is a yellow-tinted ampoule, it gives the skin a slight yellow tinge. Even after patting it in, the yellow color still transfers, and I'm not sure if it's due to poor absorption or some other reason. - th**********Combination SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2024
First off, I'd give it high marks for hydration. Rather than just moisturizing, it's more accurate to say it makes your skin feel firm and supple. As for the scent, while some people find it bothersome, I actually enjoyed it. It has a nice acacia honey fragrance. When I apply it in the evening, I've never felt my skin was dry. Well, the person who recommended it to me said it wasn't sticky at all, but that's not entirely true. It is a bit sticky, though not excessively so compared to other ampoules. It has about the same level of stickiness as most typical ampoules, so it's not really noticeable enough to be a bother. If you're sensitive to fragrances, I'd recommend testing it out before buying. The scent isn't necessarily strong, but it's quite distinctive. - su*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 7, 2024
As someone with blemish-prone, super sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised that this product didn't cause any tingling sensation or breakouts when applied. It seems to have really great ingredients! I've tried many products from Hwahae that were supposed to have good ingredients, but they often stung my skin. This one, however, feels gentle and effective. I personally love the honey scent, and it absorbs well into my skin too. I didn't notice any dramatic improvements right away when I applied it. It seems like you need to use it consistently to see results. Also, it does feel a bit sticky when first applied. I think it would work even better as part of your nighttime skincare routine! - sw*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2024
The honey ingredient makes it so moisturizing, which is perfect for dry skin. It absorbs into the skin beautifully, leaving it soft with almost no irritation, making it ideal for daily use. It's quite sticky and the fragrance is too strong. While it does improve over time, I initially felt a bit put off by it. - st********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 30, 2023
I picked this up on sale at Costco, and after using only Dr. Jart+ ampoules for a while, I have to say this one seems pretty good! The scent is overwhelmingly honey-like... I'm afraid it's not really for me. - an********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedDec 4, 2023
✨Packaging I loved that the ampoule container is made of transparent glass, allowing you to see the amount of yellow ampoule inside. The dropper handle has angular edges and features what looks like a bee engraving. While it might not appeal to those in their 20s as particularly youthful, it has a more luxurious feel that would suit users in their 30s and 40s. I also noticed the dropper tip is slightly bent, so when you squeeze it, the product lands precisely on your skin. It's a small detail, but I found it quite thoughtful. ✨Color and Fragrance The ampoule has a light yellow color. As mentioned in the product description, it doesn't contain artificial colorants, which is reassuring. The scent is reminiscent of honey and red ginseng, or maybe honey water? This aspect might be polarizing for some users. However, I prioritize effectiveness over fragrance, so it didn't bother me. ✨User Experience I was initially worried it might feel sticky, but the ampoule wasn't sticky at all and had a pleasantly firm texture. The first time I used it, I accidentally applied too much, but even then, there was no stickiness - just that firm, bouncy feeling. After completing my skincare routine up to the cream step, my makeup seems to apply well too. I think this product is perfect for cold winter weather like we're having now. The design feels slightly dated. However, since I only use the ampoule at home and rarely carry it around, I don't consider this a significant drawback. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedDec 3, 2023
First off, it passes the test simply because nothing bad happened. With my dry and super sensitive skin, even sunscreens can cause reactions, so this is a big win! I definitely noticed the hydrating effects. Maybe it's because of the high propolis content, but I found it quickly calms blemishes, folliculitis, and contact dermatitis when applied. For me, the texture and weight were just right, though I've seen mixed reviews. Perhaps my extremely dry skin is why I'm so satisfied. What's certain is that it significantly reduced my deep dryness. I appreciate that the color comes from natural ingredients rather than added pigments - it makes me trust the product more. The scent might be an issue for some. Personally, I enjoy this honey-like fragrance, but a friend who received it as a gift found the artificial honey smell a bit disappointing. I've been using it for about two weeks and haven't experienced any major issues so far. If I had to nitpick... maybe the price? When you're dealing with folliculitis or contact dermatitis, apply a generous layer before bed. After a good night's sleep, you'll notice improvement. In my experience, it works best as part of a nighttime routine. - ce***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 3, 2023
The rich honey scent is divine, and it's fantastic for locking in moisture on the skin. This was my go-to product during seasonal changes and those chilly winter days when the wind was biting! It goes on a bit thick and leaves a slight glow with a touch of stickiness, so I'd recommend using it as part of your evening skincare routine. I can't find any downsides - I'm currently on my third bottle! - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 7, 2022
It's moisturizing and when applied in the morning, it keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day. Surprisingly sticky to an extreme degree and takes time to absorb. It has a strong honey scent, but it's so realistic that it's not the kind of fragrance you'd want on your face. Gently patting it onto your face for about a minute helps it absorb better.
