It's not heavy and applies thinly, so it feels comfortable on the skin. There doesn't seem to be any darkening effect either. It pills terribly! Both coverage and staying power are awful. It's neither Double Wear nor All-Day Glow - far from it. Even after wearing it for a while, it comes off completely on your hands. Honestly, drugstore products are much better. Unless you have flawless skin where there's barely a difference between bare face and makeup, it's pretty useless. If I hadn't received this as a gift, I would've been in tears over wasting money on it. Not recommended at all. Don't buy it - you're better off spending the money on chicken for your mental health! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2016
Less drying than Double Wear, natural-looking finish, and doesn't cause any skin reactions Not recommended due to poor coverage and longevity. Only suitable if you prefer a sheer, natural look - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAug 8, 2016
The sun protection is great, at least! The way it absorbs and adheres to the skin is decent, somewhere in the middle range. While it might vary from person to person, for me, it appeared as a rather dull color. When I go out wearing this, people say I look a bit under the weather... I'm using it as sun protection for everyday outings. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinAug 6, 2016
Unlike heavy foundations, this one applies thinly, which I really appreciate. A downside is that the BB cream easily transfers when touching your face or using a tissue. - Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 27, 2016
I used to love this product, but now the reviews seem underwhelming! Among all the cosmetics I'm currently using, this one has the best ingredients. The staying power is great, and I'm completely satisfied with how it applies - it goes on so smoothly. The coverage is good too, and even though I have a warm complexion, the color matches well. Hmm, it feels a bit rich on the skin. As someone with oily skin, I wonder what I should use instead...? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 20, 2016
It really helps improve skin texture and keeps it moisturized. It also helps makeup last longer! The price... honestly, you could probably find a similar product from a more affordable brand quite easily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 16, 2015
First off, there's no darkening... Other than that, honestly... I bought this as part of a promotion with foundation when I lived in the US, but I really can't recommend it. It's truly awful considering the price... First of all, it pills terribly, and if you even lightly touch your face after applying makeup, it all comes off. I don't usually have issues with dead skin cells, so it didn't emphasize them too much, but it still made my skin look patchy. It's such a struggle! Also, the color is really dark. I usually use shades 17 or 21 as I have fair skin, but even the lightest shade barely evens out my complexion. Before the Aritaum sale started, my mist cushion ran out, so I refilled it by mixing this with facial oil and serum in a 5:1:4 ratio, and it worked well. It didn't pill... It seems to work better when applied with an air puff. - th********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 15, 2015
The brand value of Estée Lauder behind this BB cream, along with its unique cream color and decent coverage I received two 5ml samples of this BB cream with my Double Wear Foundation purchase and decided to give it a try. Honestly, I'm puzzled why they even call this a BB cream - it's as thick as a foundation. Describing it as 'matte' doesn't do it justice. The texture isn't smooth at all. It doesn't glide on easily and feels heavy due to its large particles. If you have dry skin and haven't properly prepped or exfoliated, you're in for trouble. It pills and clings to dry patches, making your skin look awful. The adherence is poor too - if you're in a rush and apply it with your fingers, half of it gets stuck in the fine lines of your hands. Even after application, it transfers easily, so wearing white clothes becomes a challenge. This might work for those with flawless skin looking for a quick sunscreen and CC cream alternative, but at this price point, I'd recommend just getting the Double Wear Foundation instead. Just buy the Double Wear Foundation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 1, 2015
I'm using the Light Medium shade, which is a middle tone. The color range is quite dark overall. Even those with moderately dark skin could probably use the lightest shade. I have a darker complexion, but the Light Medium feels too dark for me. The texture is closer to a foundation than a BB cream. It doesn't have that typical grayish cast of BB creams, and there's minimal darkening over time. It's extremely matte and applies quite stiffly. The application is so dry that even after exfoliating, it causes dead skin cells to form and cake up in certain areas. It's incredibly drying, really... The coverage is poor - you can barely tell if you've applied anything. I have redness and flushing in my skin, but this doesn't cover it well at all. As a result, after applying it diligently, my complexion looks patchy. I end up having to touch up with another BB cream later. While Estée Lauder is known for their great foundations, I haven't tried those, but this BB cream seems poorly made. I absolutely don't recommend it. It truly creates a dry and uneven skin appearance. And it's expensive too, unfortunately.
