It's a matte lipstick, and I bought it because I loved the color. It's a burgundy shade that's perfect for adding a pop of color! I think it's surprisingly good for daily wear. While it's quite matte, it has a nice texture that makes it easy to apply without any struggle. I ordered this because I wanted a wine-stained lip look, and I'm satisfied. It's the opposite of my usual color, so I might not use it daily. The shade is truly a classic wine color. The downside is that it tends to emphasize dead skin cells, so exfoliating your lips beforehand is a must.

I accidentally picked the wrong shade at Olive Young, but the burgundy color I ended up with is quite pretty, even if it's a bit bold for everyday wear. The color was exactly the blood-red shade I was looking for. It applies beautifully with a lovely pigmentation, and I really appreciate the clean, sleek design. It's too matte for my dry lips, so I found myself avoiding it during the winter months. The color was exactly the shade I love! I'm using it happily as both the pigmentation and application are perfect, leaving nothing to be desired. It applies incredibly thinly when you put it on. If you layer it on heavily, it becomes a slightly dark burgundy shade. With just a light application, it's more of a kidney bean color? After muting your natural lip line color, if you apply this to the inner part of your lips and blend it out, you get a perfect autumn burgundy shade that suits the season so well. The staying power is a bit disappointing. Also, it doesn't adhere well to the inner part of the lips and tends to come off easily there, but that's pretty common for most lipsticks. It might work better if you stain the inner part of your lips with a tint first before applying this lipstick.
