As someone with oily skin, this is fantastic for setting makeup. To be honest, it's not so much the powder itself that's great, but rather the container design. Unlike other oil-absorbing powders that come with a puff, this one has a brush applicator, which I love. The powder particles are also much finer. The disappointing thing is that it seems It's Skin has discontinued this product. I can't believe it's really been discontinued, it's heartbreaking! - go********Oily SkinAcne SkinApr 9, 2018
The powder particles are incredibly fine and smooth. Compared to popular products like Innisfree No Sebum or IOPE Pact, this one is far less drying and thick. I switched to this after using those two. Even in winter, as someone with extremely oily skin who uses a dry puff with Double Wear, this powder controls oil without being too powdery, which can cause sweating and ruin makeup. Its ultra-fine texture manages oil while keeping skin looking flawless all day without breaking down. It's likely suitable for dry skin types too. I was considering the similar MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD, but I'm sticking with this budget-friendly option. The downside? The mesh seems to get dirty easily. I expected this based on the MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD tester in stores, but the initially pure white mesh has become slightly less white. However, I have no complaints about the powder itself. I use the baking technique like international beauty YouTubers. First, I apply the powder under my eyes and T-zone with a damp sponge, gently patting it on. Then, I lightly dust a large powder brush with the product and sweep it in circular motions across my entire face. This removes excess powder while creating an overall matte finish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 3, 2018
It's great for controlling oil. My skin looks healthier... The particles are so fine they make me cough... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 22, 2017
I've tried an incredible variety of powders over the past 20 years, but since 2008, it seems like the overall quality has improved across the board. Even drugstore products have been working well for me without any major issues. Many silica powders claim to be affordable dupes for high-end HD powders, but personally, I find this product most similar in feel to the Fix and Fix powder from a certain popular brand. While the packaging is clearly inspired by a famous high-end powder, it's actually quite practical for storage and use, given how finely milled this powder is. The ultra-fine texture is its best feature - it controls oil without feeling dry or cakey. It's great for blurring imperfections without looking thick or heavy on the skin. The separate puff compartment is a hygienic touch. Be careful when applying, as the extremely fine powder can make you cough. The price is a bit on the higher side, so it's best to buy during sales. Apply lightly with a brush or press gently with a puff for a thin layer. Don't cake it on, but its fine texture allows for easy blending. Keep this in mind when using. These silica HD powders reflect light, which can cause a white cast in flash photography. Avoid using for important events or occasions where you'll be photographed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 30, 2016
The powder particles are incredibly fine and soft, applying smoothly and naturally. As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I had given up on powders long ago, but this one doesn't cause any dryness at all. I started using it because my under-eye aegyo-sal area tends to make eye makeup smudge easily, and I'm impressed that it keeps my skin feeling hydrated while maintaining my eye makeup perfectly. Due to the extremely fine texture, it's important to pay attention to the amount you use. There was a time when I accidentally applied too much on my puff and ended up with a white cast on my skin. However, it was easy to blend out with the puff. If you lightly pat this powder over your cushion foundation, you won't have to worry about your hair sticking to your face. - do*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 17, 2016
It covers pores well and the fine mesh sifts the particles, allowing for a smooth, controlled application It's similar to oil-control powders, so it can be drying. Careful control of the amount used is essential It's on the pricier side in stores, so best to take advantage of sales
