I have dry skin with a complexion around shade 25. I used shade 4 of this product. Unfortunately, only shade 2 is listed on Hwahae, so please bear with me. As someone with dry skin, I immediately noticed the incredible adherence and matte finish upon application. The fine particles seem to contribute to its excellent adherence and pore coverage, making it a satisfying product despite its matte nature. The skin expression and coverage are superb, making it appear as if I naturally had flawless skin from the start! Well... there weren't many downsides, but if I had to mention one, it was extremely drying. It dried almost instantly after application, so you need to blend quickly to avoid leaving subtle marks. 1. Due to its matte nature, blend quickly to avoid leaving marks. 2. While using a puff works well, I found that applying this product with a foundation brush results in a thinner, more adherent layer and a more beautiful skin expression. - ra*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSep 16, 2017
I have oily skin that lacks moisture, with a relatively blemish-free, nude 23 complexion. First, the fine particles make for good adherence and application. Most importantly, the yellowish color matches my skin tone perfectly! I think I'm a True Autumn in color analysis, for reference. Most foundations on the market start yellow but turn pink over time, always clashing with my neck. After testing various brands on my hand, only this one and Kate stayed yellow. Second, it doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients, so it doesn't cause blemishes. Plus, it offers medium-to-high coverage. It conceals minor imperfections, making my skin look great. It can appear semi-matte when applied all over. Post-cleansing, I noticed my skin barrier felt stronger, possibly due to the vitamin E. Usually, the capillaries around my nose appear red after washing, but not when I use this product. Oddly, I feel tired on days I wear this on my face. Honestly, is anyone else experiencing this? While it lacks pore-clogging ingredients like citric acid and isn't too oily, which prevents blemishes (making it incredibly valuable to me), its biggest drawback is that I'm exhausted when I get home after using it. I suppose better sleep at night could be seen as a plus, though it's frustrating. One more thing: it sets quickly, which might make it too drying for winter use. Highly recommended for summer! For winter, I suggest mixing it with a cream. When I apply shade 23 all over, it's too dark, so I use two foundations! I use a lighter shade 21 on prominent areas and the darker one elsewhere. This keeps it looking natural even as time passes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2017
The adherence, longevity, and skin appearance are fantastic. It gives me exactly the complexion I've been wanting. My skin feels velvety smooth. The color... it's way too yellow... I think they might have some stereotypes about Asian skin. It makes me wonder if they think all Asians have such yellow undertones. Aside from the color, I'm extremely satisfied! I mix it with a foundation that has a reddish undertone. It works better with a puff rather than a brush. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 7, 2016
It's convenient to carry around, and when applied with the included sponge, it adheres well to the skin. However, it's extremely drying and sets too quickly. Even the spots you've just dabbed on dry up immediately, so you need to blend it in rapidly. I probably won't repurchase. If you mix it with facial oil or a hydrating moisturizer, the coverage decreases but it absorbs much better. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 23, 2016
I bought this during a half-price sale at the shop, and they even threw in a free lip gloss! As many reviews mention, it's truly matte. While it's not suitable for winter, it's great for other seasons. The adherence and staying power are absolutely fantastic! Bourjois eyeshadows and lipsticks have lovely colors and great longevity, but their foundations are a bit... well, they're not as well-suited for Asian skin tones as Hera or O HUI. That's why I need to mix it with other products I own. Definitely a no-go for winter use. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 21, 2016
The coverage is truly impressive. Applying it twice effectively conceals most blemishes. It's too yellow-toned. While it works for me since I have a lot of acne scars, I think it might not be suitable for those with fairer skin. It's great for summer use, but might be too drying for winter wear. - em********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 13, 2016
Oh, this makes my skin feel healthier. The scent is nice too. Maybe because I have oily skin, when I apply it, it gives me a slightly healthy-looking complexion. What's up with this...? Why is it so yellow...? It's seriously super yellow. I'm shocked, and my skin looks yellow too. There's no way to fix the yellowness, I guess...
