The scent is lovely and it moisturizes well. It's what I'd call a classic rose fragrance. When applied to the body, it mingles with your natural scent and reacts to body heat, transforming into an incredibly cozy aroma. In winter, when I apply it and bundle up warmly, the fragrance that emanates is simply divine. It feels a bit extravagant to use it all over every day, so I usually apply it to my arms and upper body. When I slightly loosen my neckline, the scent wafts gently - it's so perfectly my style that I've been using it for years. If I had to nitpick, it would be the price. I mix it with an unscented body emulsion to make it last longer. - cl*******Combination SkinAcne SkinJun 24, 2022
The fragrance is lovely, and the way it absorbs isn't bad at all. There are tiny micro-shimmers that give your skin a smooth appearance. I'm not sure why, but it keeps making me itchy and even gives a stinging sensation... I think it might be due to the ingredients. The more generously I apply it, the itchier it gets, which is concerning. I bought other scents from the same line during a sale, but those have even worse ingredients. The Body Shop has made me realize for the first time that I might have sensitive body skin. I wouldn't recommend this. At least the renewed body butter seems to have slightly better ingredients. - ju******Normal SkinRecommendedOct 13, 2021
It has a light rose scent and absorbs well into the skin. Compared to other body butters from The Body Shop, the texture is noticeably different! It's closer to an emulsion than a butter. True to its name as a glow body butter, it contains shimmer particles, so I'm not sure if it's suitable to apply before going to bed. - al********Dry SkinRecommendedFeb 7, 2021
This body butter absorbs well without being slow to sink in, and it's not drying like an emulsion. It has just the right consistency, you know? I think it would be great to use for three seasons, except summer. It comes in both a 50ml travel size and a 200ml full size, so you can choose based on your needs. The Body Shop is known for being an ESG company focused on animal protection and eco-friendliness, so I bought it with confidence. I think I'll enjoy using it. It's nice to make ethical choices when we're consuming anyway! One reviewer mentioned that the scent is similar to Paul Smith Rose, but personally, I found it to be completely different. Since I decided to buy it based on that review, I'm a bit disappointed. However, if you like powdery fragrances, you'll definitely enjoy this one. Please note that the open product photo is before use! The packaging isn't fancy, and the contents aren't presented in a particularly pretty way. I'd be very satisfied giving this as a gift, but you might want to be cautious when giving it to someone who isn't familiar with The Body Shop. Since it's a bit on the pricier side, it might be better received by someone who knows the brand. - po******Combination SkinRecommendedJan 7, 2021
Fragrance (like wet roses) Buttery texture, but lighter than other Body Shop butters Absorbs well Not moisturizing enough for winter use Better suited for seasons other than deep winter Contains strange pink shimmer... L'Occitane's rose version was fine, but I don't reach for this one often The scent is a bit cold The lingering scent is elegant and sophisticated, suitable for those over 30 and even appropriate for women in their 50s I'm not a fan of rose scents, so I used it a few times before passing it on to my mom - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2020
I've heard the scent is polarizing, but I loved it! I went to buy hand cream and asked for the richest one. They recommended Body Butter, saying the small size is perfect to carry as hand cream. I chose the rose scent from several options. It even has a slight shimmer! After applying, it doesn't feel too slippery and absorbs well. It leaves my skin feeling soft. These days, I keep applying it like lip balm. The case is inconvenient. It's awkward to close after applying the hand cream. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedOct 8, 2020
I first tried this product abroad and absolutely loved its hydration power and fragrance. I bought it in Korea, but to my surprise, it had a stale smell right out of the box. I checked the expiration date, which showed it still had 2 years left. However, when I peeled off the Korean label, I discovered it was actually manufactured 3 years ago. I know the original shelf life is supposed to be 3 years, but it seems The Body Shop Korea arbitrarily extended it to 5 years. With its old smell and greasy texture, I ended up throwing it away. Don't buy this in Korea. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
The fragrance is absolutely delightful! It's not too sticky, making it perfect for summer application. It lacks in hydration, and the absence of a spatula makes it a bit unhygienic... - dd******Combination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2020
Compared to other body butters, this one absorbs well without feeling sticky or slippery The scent reminds me of my dad's cologne, which was a bit disappointing as I was expecting a rose fragrance - eo**********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 20, 2020
The hydration is quite good, and while it's rich, it still absorbs well. If you look closely, you can see tiny shimmers, but they're not noticeable enough to be distracting. At first, the scent was a bit headache-inducing... an artificial rose fragrance perhaps? Anyway, it wasn't great initially, but as you get used to it, it becomes subtle and long-lasting, which was nice. I found it particularly suitable for use during fall and winter. Personally, it felt too heavy for summer use. Since it's a product you scoop out with your fingers, there might be some hygiene concerns.
