As someone with sensitive, oily skin, I didn't get any blemishes using this. It gives a radiant look from within, truly making your skin look beautiful. The coverage isn't too high, but it's not low either. You can apply it all over with just a small amount. It's even fine to quickly apply with your fingers. It would have been more hygienic if it came in a pump bottle... That's the only downside. I found this foundation better than Armani, Chanel, Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent. - sy******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2023
What an amazing application! As someone with oily skin and uneven texture, I've often avoided foundations and base products due to their tendency to emphasize dead skin cells and get caught in my skin's texture. However, this product is different! It applies thinly without accentuating those issues and feels hydrating on the skin. I'm satisfied every time I use it and think I'll be able to finish the whole bottle. While some say it lacks coverage, I chose it specifically because lighter products don't make my skin look cakey. It's so convenient - I just need to add a touch of concealer and I'm good to go! The size is smaller than expected and it's a bit pricey... Also, since it's a cream formula, you need to be careful about contamination. I think this product would be even more fantastic for those with naturally good skin. I'm tempted to gift it to my cousin who has beautiful skin! - ga*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 24, 2022
I started using this while searching for a lightweight foundation. It was my introduction to Chantecaille, and I loved it so much that I ended up buying their oils and skincare products too. Even when worn all day, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating. The fact that it looks too natural might be a downside (though it's a plus for me). It doesn't give a particularly radiant finish. As it applies thinly, the staying power isn't the best. Apply with a brush (flat brush for pores, not a flat foundation brush), then pat with a damp sponge to increase longevity. Using it with the same brand's Rose Face Tint creates an even more beautiful skin finish. If you want more brightness, mix a tiny amount of light-colored concealer with this foundation and apply it around the under-eyes, sides of the nose, and around the mouth for a lovely glow. - he******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2022
It feels moisturizing like I've applied a cream, and the lasting power is pretty decent. I guess nobody using this is expecting full coverage anyway, haha! As someone who can't tolerate heavy products at all, I find this really great. It doesn't provide any coverage at all. I have extremely dry skin, so even though it's moisturizing, I still needed a bit of oil, so I mixed it with a cream when applying. - el*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2021
Absolutely top-notch for me! It's in the same league as Chanel's Les Beiges Cushion. It's so natural-looking (you'll wonder if you're even wearing makeup), gives that glass skin effect, and has a texture and absorption that's practically skincare. I'd recommend this to anyone with olive undertones who struggles to find the right shade match with other foundations. This isn't like Hera Black Cushion or those other brands that claim to be 'natural-looking' but aren't really. This is genuinely 'did I even apply anything?' level of foundation. I strongly suggest getting a tester before buying. On the flip side, if you feel like every cushion looks heavy on you, and you love the finish of Les Beiges Cushion, you can confidently order this online. Even if you choose a shade slightly off, it's so sheer that it hardly shows - not sure if that's a pro or a con, to be honest! I used to think Chanel Sublimage Foundation (the one in the jar) and Guerlain Lingerie de Peau were my holy grail foundations, but this one's joined the list now. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking to cover all blemishes or wanting long-lasting wear. - wi******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 16, 2020
I've tried everything from affordable foundations to luxury brands, but why did I live without knowing about Chantecaille? I regret it so much. I used Estée Lauder Futurist because people said it was moisturizing and gave a glow, but I felt the texture was a bit thick and the color was dull. When Lancôme Teint Miracle changed to Teint Clarifique, I was even more at a loss for what to use. Then I discovered Chantecaille... I'm so happy! The color isn't dull, it doesn't cake up even on my peach fuzz, it absorbs like an emulsion, and evens skin tone. I applied this, wore a mask, went out all night, and even after not washing my face for nearly two days, my skin didn't feel suffocated and I had no blemishes. It doesn't sit on top of sebum, but seems to melt away naturally. It has no coverage at all. I don't need any coverage, so I'm completely satisfied. I wish they would change it to a tube or pump type. It's really annoying that they say not to remove the inner lid. You don't need a puff or brush. Just gently massage it in with your hands, and it absorbs well and gives you a glow. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2020
This has become my holy grail foundation, surpassing even Armani which I've used for over a decade! I had been using Armani's cream foundation, but they kept raising the price every year. It got to the point where it felt downright evil and not worth it anymore. Then, early last year, my trusty Armani foundation suddenly started causing irritation and itching, so I went on a hunt for a new one and finally settled on this gem. Clé de Peau Beauté and Chantecaille were my top contenders, but Clé de Peau was even pricier, so I settled on Chantecaille :) First off, it applies smoothly and feels moisturizing without any stickiness. The range of shades is great, making it easy to find a match, and I experienced no oxidation at all. I have extremely sensitive skin prone to seborrheic dermatitis, but this caused zero issues. With all the mask-wearing lately, I've been touching up when I'm out. I decant some into a small container from MUJI to carry around, and because it's so lightweight and hydrating, it never cakes up when I reapply. I'm not a fan of foundations that are too matte or high-coverage as they can look artificial, but this one strikes the perfect balance of hydration and coverage. I absolutely love it! Highly recommend this foundation! While this product is on the pricier side, you can snag it for a bit less on online department store sites. They're also quite generous with samples! In summer, I apply it as is, but in winter, I mix it with Physiogel emulsion and apply using an Aritaum cushion puff. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2020
Unlike other foundations that feel heavy and suffocating, this one feels like water on my skin, allowing it to breathe easily. It's so lightweight, it's as if I'm not wearing anything at all. I wish it came with a pump. Having to dip my fingers in repeatedly to apply it raises concerns about hygiene. - ej****Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2020
A major plus is that it's cruelty-free, meaning no animal testing! The application is incredibly smooth without any pilling. It feels just like applying skincare. While it might not seem dramatically brightening when swatched on the back of your hand, once applied to the face, it blends naturally even with fair skin tones. I wish there were shades even lighter than Porcelain available. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedOct 19, 2018
It applies thinly, allowing for a natural, bare-faced look. There's no darkening effect. I received a sample, applied it in the morning, and when I met a friend in the evening, they asked what I was wearing because my complexion looked so good. I immediately purchased it after that. The packaging, the packaging, the packaging. It's in a wide-mouthed jar, which isn't great for hygiene. It would be much better if it came in a tube format like Just Skin. When used together with the purple tube of Just Skin, it seems to give an even more hydrating effect.
