This product reminded me once again why you can't trust Facebook ads This is only suitable for people with smooth, hydrated skin. Otherwise, it makes you look like you have white flaky dead skin cells all over - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 26, 2018
No matter how much I think about it, there's nothing good to say... Why did I even buy this? Even if you don't have many dead skin cells, this product somehow manages to emphasize them like crazy. There's hardly any change in skin tone either. Considering the volume, effectiveness, and price, it's unnecessarily expensive. The best tip? Don't buy it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 25, 2018
This is my holy grail lip primer! I was surprised by the negative reviews on Hwahae.. 1. No dead skin cells! Seriously, it prevents dead skin cells from forming. Well, saying 'none at all' might be a bit of an exaggeration, but they barely appear. It turned even the Mamonde lipstick, known for causing flakiness, into my go-to lip product! Any dead skin that does form is really minimal. 2. Not overly moisturizing, but just right If you're a fan of matte lips, you'll find this gives just the right amount of hydration 1. No real downsides, except maybe it feels a bit thick when applied? 2. I'm not sure if it really brings out the lipstick's true color. However, it seemed to intensify pink-toned lipsticks a bit! I'd recommend skipping it for those shades. 1. It seems like many don't know how to use this properly. Don't apply lipstick right after putting it on! After application, gently rub it in with your finger. This will bring out your natural lip color, similar to applying a clear lip balm. Then apply your lipstick! That's how it becomes a game-changing primer. 2. Only use this with matte lipsticks, velvet matte mousse tints! If you use it with moisturizing lipsticks, water tints, or gel tints, it tends to make them sit on top of your lips. I'd only recommend this for those who prefer matte formulas. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 29, 2018
Not sure what to say... I guess you could mix this with lipstick for a blush effect. First off! Could those of you who've used this successfully and are satisfied please share how you apply it? I think I've failed miserably... I love matte lips, so I bought this because I heard it reduces the appearance of dead skin cells and most importantly! It's supposed to bring out the true color of lipsticks. But it's actually emphasizing my dead skin cells more, and as for the true color... it's just weird! I applied a vibrant red and it all mixed together into something... strange! I've tried a few times, but after such disappointing results, it's just sitting in a corner of my vanity taking up space. Please tell me how to apply this properly! There's something wrong with it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2018
I bought this immediately after seeing the ad. As a huge fan of Yurica, I tend to buy all their new products. That's how much I trust the brand. That's all for the good points. Is there something wrong with my lips? Not only does it not show any color, but it also doesn't even bring out my natural lip color. It just emphasizes dead skin cells. No matter how much I moisturize, it doesn't work, so I stopped using it. I'm really, really disappointed. - in*****Normal SkinDec 29, 2017
I bought this after seeing a Facebook ad, but honestly, I used it once and tossed it. The only somewhat positive thing is that it enhances the color payoff of lipsticks. It dramatically emphasizes dead skin cells... If your lips aren't in good condition, it shows every imperfection. The color comes out vivid, but it feels like the lipstick is just sitting on top of your lips. I was too embarrassed to even give it away, so I threw it out. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 16, 2017
The color payoff is true to the shade you see. Personally, I find it applies with a moisturizing feel. However, you can't apply tint over it. The tint keeps sliding off, only staying on the lower lip. I don't think I'll repurchase it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 22, 2017
The color payoff is incredible... I never knew my usual lip color could look this good until I tried this product. It really emphasizes dead skin cells... If your lips aren't perfectly smooth, it's extremely difficult to apply evenly. - cj*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinOct 12, 2017
Hmm... From my perspective, there wasn't a single thing I liked about this product. The advertisement claimed it would cover all dead skin cells on the lips and provide excellent color payoff, so I bought it with confidence. However, when I apply it on lips with flaky skin and then put on tint or lipstick, it actually emphasizes the dead skin cells even more. I'm not sure if it's just me, but no matter what color I use, it always ends up looking pink. As a result, I've stopped using it. Take good care of your lip exfoliation... That's somewhat better! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2017
I've always had a lot of dead skin cells on my lips, so I've tried all the best lip balms, Vaseline, and even lip scrubs, but nothing seemed to work... I never thought I could wear matte lipstick, but wow! The color payoff is amazing! I hesitated when buying it for 15000 won at Watson's, but I have no regrets. It moisturizes well, and the color applies so evenly! Even with the matte lipsticks I already owned. I'm truly happy with this product. The price is too high... Although it works well, even on sale at 15000 won, it's still quite expensive. After applying the lip booster, make sure to rub it in well with your fingers!
