I was searching for a shampoo with a pleasant scent and tried this one based on a recommendation. I've used up the full-size product and now I'm using the gratis sample. The fragrance is reminiscent of canola flowers - a fresh, floral scent. I dislike oily shampoos, so I'm pleased that this one doesn't leave my hair feeling rich or greasy. I'm not sure if it's effective as an anti-hair loss shampoo. It's also on the pricier side compared to regular shampoos. - em******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedAug 19, 2018
I tried this silicone-free canola seed oil shampoo to protect my hair from summer sun damage! I've been using it for about a year now. While it claims to have anti-hair loss effects, I didn't have that concern, so I can't speak to that. However, even without using conditioner, my hair is less frizzy compared to when I used my previous shampoo alone. Even in winter, I didn't experience static electricity with just this shampoo. The scent is described as canola flower, but it's more like a herbal or grassy fragrance. It's not as strong or fragrant as typical shampoos, but it has a genuinely subtle, natural scent. Perhaps because of this, my scalp smells much less by evening compared to other shampoos. Also, when I used it after getting a perm and my hair was very damaged, while there wasn't a dramatic effect, it seemed to gradually help my damaged hair recover. Summary: • Subtle herbal scent, not an overpowering artificial fragrance • Less drying than regular shampoos when used alone • Much less static electricity in winter • Less hair damage from summer sun (noticeably different compared to not using it) - Though wearing a hat or using a parasol is still the best protection • Less scalp odor by evening (though not completely eliminated) The fatal flaw of this shampoo! Not recommended unless you have combination to dry scalp! Since it doesn't lather as much, if you have an oily or normal scalp and enjoy a rich lather and that squeaky clean feeling, you might find this shampoo uncomfortable. Unlike other reviews, I found it lathered well even in summer as my scalp doesn't get very oily, but someone with an oily scalp tried it and complained about the lack of lather. It seems like it doesn't clean the scalp thoroughly for those with oily skin. Also, if you prefer strong shampoo fragrances or dislike herbal scents, you might not enjoy this... Summary: • Not recommended for those without combination to dry scalp (even for normal scalp if you like that squeaky clean feeling) • Less lather than regular shampoos (though it doesn't feel less cleansing) • Not recommended if you dislike subtle herbal scents • Comes in a bottle with a cap, not a pump dispenser I bought a gift set online that included shampoo, treatment, and hair oil. The treatment, when applied just to the ends of the hair, revives perms adequately and feels less greasy than most treatments. The hair oil also has a grassy scent and is less oily. I use all products from the same line, so the scents are consistent, but mixing with other hair products might result in unpredictable combinations... I use it year-round. With my bob haircut and washing once a day, a bottle lasts about 5-6 months.
