As someone with sensitive and thin skin, I've always been hesitant to use rough exfoliating tools when dead skin cells appear. Instead, I typically opt for body scrubs. However, I've noticed that while coarser scrubs are more effective at removing dead skin cells and noticeably softening the skin, they can also be quite harsh, sometimes causing a burning sensation or even minor cuts. On the other hand, gentler scrubs with smaller particles are less irritating but often disappointing in their exfoliation effectiveness. That's why I'm quite pleased with Geomar! It's highly recommended and popular for good reason. The generous 600g jar opens to reveal a subtle, sweet grape scent. After mixing the settled Dead Sea salt with the oil, I gently massage it onto my skin before rinsing. The result is remarkably soft skin. What's impressive is how it manages to provide excellent exfoliation while significantly reducing post-wash dryness and irritation. It's also great for managing ingrown hairs after hair removal. It's clear why this product receives such unanimous praise. I highly recommend this body scrub to anyone looking for effective exfoliation with minimal irritation and dryness. While the Dead Sea salt particles aren't overly coarse, applying too much pressure during massage can lead to irritation. Also, be cautious as it can sting quite a bit if it comes into contact with any cuts or open wounds. Although this product is less drying than others, it's still important to apply a moisturizer after use. Also, since the salt particles dissolve in water, I recommend scooping out only the amount you need for each use to preserve the product's effectiveness. - st****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 21, 2022
I love everything about it except for the scent! It's been 3 years since I started using body scrubs for exfoliation at home, as I haven't been able to go to the public bathhouse lately. After trying various body scrubs, I personally find Geomar to be the best. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, so the coarse and grainy texture of Geomar works perfectly for me. To be honest, the scent is really cheap and overly sweet, but it doesn't linger after rinsing, so... haha! Oh, and when I use this, I apply it with an Italian exfoliating towel - you know, those scrubbing mitts? It makes my skin incredibly smooth. While it can't compare to soaking for two hours at the bathhouse and then scrubbing, I'm still quite satisfied using this at home. I find using it twice a week is just right. The scent is too cheap-smelling, and it's really difficult to mix. Other than that, it's not bad. Using it with a scrubbing mitt makes your skin super smooth! Not recommended for those with super sensitive skin! - st*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2022
I switched to using a body scrub because exfoliating mitts were too harsh on my skin. I tried this one that my mom had, and it's not bad at removing dead skin cells. Plus, it leaves my body feeling moisturized after use. The scent is a bit artificial, which is disappointing. I thought it would be less irritating than exfoliating mitts, but it's still somewhat painful. I'd recommend mixing it with water when using. Since this is an intense scrub, it's best to mix it with water before use. Those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid it altogether. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2021
After using it, my skin feels incredibly soft due to the exfoliation and oil layer. The sensation is wonderful. It effectively removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and great. Mixing the product before use is a bit inconvenient. From a hygiene perspective, it's not the best. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2021
This is the ultimate body scrub for sure. It's amazing for skin refinement. The scent is lovely, and after using it, your skin feels soft, smooth, and silky. I had no idea that so many products I use contain harmful ingredients. It's really disheartening. It's crucial to use this after washing with body wash, while your skin is still very wet. Gently massaging it in is more than enough. Obviously, since it's salt-based, don't use it on dry skin - ouch! That would be painful! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 12, 2021
My skin was rough like goosebumps, but after using this for a week, it's significantly smoother. I can't find any downsides, so I highly recommend it. It really helped reduce my keratosis pilaris. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 27, 2021
The particle size isn't too large and the oil content is just right, leaving my skin feeling moisturized and silky smooth after use! I love that I can exfoliate without much irritation, and it's great that it comes with a spatula. The jar packaging is a bit less convenient compared to a tube format. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 16, 2020
First of all, the fragrance is absolutely delightful. I use the peach scent, and I'm in love with how it smells! However, when I use this in the shower, it seems to cause some discomfort. I think it works best when used two or three times a week. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
It's great for removing dead skin cells from the body. Using it once a week leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It can be irritating if used too frequently or on cuts. The scrub is quite thick, so it takes some effort to mix with oil. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 19, 2020
I'm really enjoying this product that gently exfoliates! The generous amount means I can use it once a week and it'll last for ages. The scent reminds me of grape-flavored popsicles! There's a slight plastic smell, and it's quite challenging to mix at first. I used a palette knife I had on hand to mix it.
