I was looking for a gentle sunscreen that could brighten my complexion and decided to give this a try. When applied, it provides a light coverage similar to a sheer foundation, and it also adds a subtle glow. The lightweight texture makes it easy to spread evenly. It's both Kiehl's strength and weakness - it's just average. I can't say I'm particularly impressed. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed that the ingredients aren't as good as I expected. I won't be repurchasing. (If I had to compare, I'd say a white brightening moisturizer with SPF might be better.) - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2020
If I had to find something positive, I guess it applies thinly... To be honest, I'm not sure. It makes my face look dry and flaky. I've been hit with a blemish bomb... Sigh... - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 11, 2019
It's a cream-type product, and what I liked about it is that as soon as you apply it, it gives your skin a nice glow, making your complexion look better. Initially, it feels moisturizing when you put it on. First of all, the fragrance is way too strong, making me dizzy every time I apply it. There's no sense of it adhering to the skin at all - it just feels like it's sitting on top, like it's just placed there. I have dry skin, so it emphasizes dead skin cells on my nose and makes the T-zone and butterfly zone look patchy, really highlighting any flakiness. It also feels heavy and uncomfortable. Worst of all, it pills terribly. Overall, it's really not good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with dry or oily skin. For those with dry skin, it accentuates flakiness and doesn't absorb well. For oily skin types, it has an oily texture that feels like you're applying unhealthy oil to your skin when you put it on. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinDec 2, 2019
It absorbs well and has a nice, bright color. That's the only positive aspect. About 3 hours after applying, my skin started to itch and then turned red as if I had a burn. I usually get atopic dermatitis when using products with harsh chemicals, so I should have checked the ingredients before buying. It seemed fine during the initial test, so I purchased it, but now I'm planning to give it to a family member with less sensitive skin. - xx******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 30, 2019
Despite ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate being quite high on the ingredient list, there was no eye irritation. The level of oiliness is moderate to good. As it's a CC cream, not a foundation or BB cream, the coverage isn't heavy, but with a bit of concealer on necessary spots, you can achieve a natural, glowy, bare-skin-like makeup look. The coverage is actually perfect - it doesn't completely disappear (like the Real Barrier Extreme Moisture BB I reviewed before, which left me looking bare-faced), but it fades slightly, preventing any caking around the nose, double eyelid creases, or emphasizing dead skin cells and pores. This somehow makes your skin look naturally good, especially smoothing out the pores on the nose tip. While it looks a bit dark when squeezed out, it blends naturally into shade 21 skin (though it won't give you a super bright look, just a slightly more radiant version of your bare skin). It feels comfortable on the skin without any dryness. It's less artificial-looking than foundation, yet still provides a beautiful skin finish, making it a great foundation alternative. While it hasn't caused any blemishes for me yet, the ingredients list could be better. Although it's SPF50/PA++++, since it's not a transparent or non-tinted type, it might be difficult to apply the proper amount for effective sun protection. You might need to use a separate sunscreen and use this more as a light makeup product in appropriate amounts. I applied it by patting with an Aritaum sponge, and it spread nicely in thin layers. I've had bad experiences with CC creams before - no coverage and pilling like dirt - but I quite like this product. - 20******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessJun 1, 2019
Nothing really... Maybe just the fact that it offers sun protection and very light coverage? The application feels thick and it sits on top of the skin without absorbing at all. The worst part is that it pills! After checking the ingredients here, I realized they're not great either.
