The light brown color is perfect for creating natural-looking eyebrows. It's great for filling in sparse areas. It's not very pigmented, so defining the tail of the eyebrow isn't as crisp as I'd like. - so*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedOct 4, 2020
A budget-friendly alternative to Shu Uemura's Hard Formula! I heard they're even made in the same factory, haha! The color payoff seems to vary between shades, or maybe it's because Ginger is a lighter shade, but compared to Chestnut, it's much more subtle. It gives an incredibly natural look, but it has strong yellow undertones and is quite light, making it perfect for bleached or light-colored dyed hair. Apart from the subtle color payoff, I didn't find any other downsides. Sadly, it's been discontinued. Recommended for bleached hair or light-colored dyed hair with yellow undertones. For a more natural look, use it alongside a brow mascara. Though it's discontinued, it seems there's still some stock available. If you search carefully on social media or online shops, you might be able to snag it at a great price. - k8*****Normal SkinRecommendedAug 28, 2020
It's a brown shade with a subtle gray undertone, without any redness. This would likely suit those with lighter hair colors. It applies smoothly and stays put when it meets the skin's natural oils. In the photo: Top: #3 Ginger Middle: #2 Cognac Bottom: #1 Chestnut The product is too hard, making it painful to apply and nearly impossible to use when the skin lacks natural oils. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedAug 27, 2020
When on sale, it becomes incredibly affordable, especially considering its beast-mode quantity. It's not too hard, so you can easily glide it on smoothly. Being a pencil type, there's the hassle of having to sharpen it yourself. - im****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAug 23, 2020
The color payoff isn't too intense, making it easy to apply with quick, casual strokes. The color has too much of a reddish undertone, making it look unnatural. It would have been better with a slightly more ashy tone. It looks artificial, almost like someone whose eyebrow tattoo has faded. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
The pencil is incredibly long - which means you get a lot of product! I bought this because I heard it's made in the same factory as Shu Uemura, but there's definitely a difference in quality. Still, it's a decent product overall. - je***Oily SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
This is truly amazing - it's my holy grail for eyebrows! I've tried many similar products, but this one has the best staying power, applies smoothly, and is affordable with the most product. The light brown color looks natural and blends well, even with my natural brows. There's nothing to complain about, except that there's so much product the pencil is super long and doesn't fit in my makeup pouch! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
It glides on smoothly and the color is beautiful. The pencil is quite long, so you get a generous amount of product. It's inconvenient that you have to sharpen it yourself like a traditional pencil. - dl**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 20, 2020
It absorbs well like a hard formula and has good staying power. Just make sure to blend it properly! It's the brightest among the three options! As long as you sharpen it well, there's no problem at all! Nothing to add - st********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessJun 2, 2020
First off, it's quite long. The length suggests it'll last a while, which is great. The color range seems pretty versatile too - the brown shade, for instance, is a classic brown. The wood grain texture is nice, making it easy to sharpen. It's good value for money. When you want a very subtle, natural look, it works well. It's longer than typical eyebrow pencils, which makes it a bit inconvenient to carry around. It doesn't apply well on bare skin - you need to have foundation or cushion on for the color to show up. This is surprisingly inconvenient. When you're only wearing sunscreen, the color just doesn't appear on your brows. Being a hard pencil, the color is too light. You have to apply it multiple times to get the same effect as one stroke of an auto brow pencil. I've even irritated my brows trying to build up the color, leaving them red and swollen. Make sure to apply foundation, cushion, or powder before using this. If you find the color too light and it's frustrating, consider getting an auto brow pencil in a similar shade. Use them together - apply the auto brow first, then lightly go over with this pencil. This combination balances out the intensity of the auto brow and the lightness of the hard pencil, resulting in a very natural look.
