* Yellow shade 21, warm deep undertone, suitable for those with visible pores and redness The texture is semi-matte. It's not a quick-setting, ultra-matte formula, making it easy to blend. As it sets, it gives a feeling of a very moisturizing powder finish, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. This cushion was recommended by the YouTuber Gilhwanyeo Haehae during her 'What's in my makeup pouch' video. She praised it for its excellent pore coverage and beautiful finish. True to its reputation, the cushion provides decent coverage and does a great job at concealing pores. As someone with particularly large and deep pores in summer, I pay special attention to pore coverage during the warmer months. Color-wise, it's slightly lighter than a typical 21 shade, with a subtle muted undertone. From my experience with numerous cushions and foundations, products with sun protection often have this slightly muted quality. This cushion, with its SPF50+ PA+++, is indeed well-suited for summer use. The staying power isn't bad either. When it comes to wear, you might notice some creasing around the nose and slight patchiness. However, it's quite amenable to touch-ups. Not recommended for dry skin. However, it's worth trying if you have oily skin and are focused on pore coverage. As mentioned earlier, there's a slight muted undertone. Personally, I'm not a fan of this, so I use a bright blush to balance it out. When using this product or any base with a muted undertone, be careful with your blush choice. Avoid fluorescent-like blushes as they can accentuate the muted tone. Choose your blush color wisely. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedFeb 5, 2024
I was surprised by other reviews saying it's matte. For me, it's not drying at all and gives a dewy glow that I love, though I don't like how it makes my hair stick to my face, so I use it with a finishing powder. It doesn't darken over time, and there's no breakdown or cracking, so I use it almost year-round. As I have fair skin, I wish they would release lighter shades like 11 or 13. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 4, 2023
It's pretty decent overall. The coverage seems to be fairly good, although it doesn't provide the perfect coverage as advertised. I bought this after seeing the ad, but there's not much to praise. It rarely blends well when I pat it onto my skin. The adherence doesn't seem particularly good. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it didn't really suit me. - je**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 9, 2022
It absorbs fairly thinly and has decent coverage. The cushion design is cute. The textured surface where you dispense the foundation makes it easy to control the amount. The yellow base is too strong. I wish it was more matte and had better staying power. It transfers onto masks. The puff isn't as firm as I'd like. There's a noticeable cosmetic scent, though it's not overpowering. - di******Dry SkinRecommendedMar 7, 2021
The texture is semi-matte. It's truly the epitome of a semi-matte cushion. It's not excessively drying, nor does it give an overly shiny finish. It's definitely a perfect match for combination dehydrated skin! Personally, I'd highly recommend this to those with warm undertones who use shade 21. Even shade 21 leans a bit yellow... To be honest, the color can be hit or miss depending on the person. What doesn't work for me might be perfect for someone else. That's why I don't criticize products based on color when I review them. I strongly recommend this to those with combination dehydrated skin looking for a cushion with good coverage! And if you happen to have a warm undertone? You might just find your holy grail cushion! Remember this: Keebo! F5 Refresh Combination Skin Cushion! (Excuse the over-the-top advertising tone) But seriously... I truly believe this could be a life-changing cushion for warm-toned individuals with combination dehydrated skin who use shade 21... I'm not exaggerating... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJan 2, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin - oily T-zone and slightly dry elsewhere - I've tried many cushions. This one surprised me with its decent coverage. What's more impressive is how beautifully it wears throughout the day. The application is quite smooth too. While I didn't find the adherence to be exceptionally remarkable, I did notice a pleasant cooling effect when applying it. That was a nice touch! On the downside, the puff is smaller than I expected, which feels a bit restrictive. Also, I checked on Hwahae and was shocked to see the number of potentially harmful ingredients... it's quite alarming. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2019
I love how it brightens and enhances my complexion. I finally feel like I've found the right color for my skin tone! It sets with a slightly matte finish, doesn't transfer, and has great staying power. For those with dry skin, it's best to use this with a solid skincare routine in fall and winter. It might work well for all skin types during summer though! I bought it from the official website, and their promotions are really awesome. - hy******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 15, 2019
As someone with oily but dehydrated skin, I loved that this wasn't too matte or too moisturizing. It adheres well to the skin without feeling heavy. It absorbs nicely, which is great! Both shades 21 and 23 are slightly lighter compared to other brands. Those with fair complexions should keep this in mind. Applying this over a base improves its longevity, which is fantastic. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinOct 23, 2019
Apart from the convenience of being portable as a cushion compact, there's not much else... I'll give it credit for not letting too much oil come through in the afternoon. The ingredients... It's terrifying to hear that they've added components that damage DNA and potentially cause cancer. I won't be repurchasing. For those with dry skin, it might be too drying to use. If you apply a generous amount of skincare beforehand, it won't look patchy.
