First off, it's incredibly matte. When I apply it in the morning, there's no sliding off or transferring even by evening! I don't feel the need to use any additional powder either. The puff is a bit thin, which is disappointing. Also, it doesn't seem to spread evenly across the skin. - 16****Oily SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 7, 2021
• Combination skin: oily T-zone, normal to dry cheeks • Very sensitive skin due to chronic dermatitis - Reacts quickly to incompatible products - Prone to redness, easily flushes with emotions and temperature changes • Light undertone, usually uses shade 22-23 ------------------------------ • Color and brightness: A clear, ivory glow! Not too yellow or pink, just a lovely ivory shade. Brightness is around shade 22, slightly lighter but looks radiant without appearing unnatural. • Application: Between semi-matte and dewy. The moisturizing formula applies smoothly. • Coverage: True to its name - Conceal Glow! Despite the dewy texture, it's buildable. Must contain powder for impressive coverage. Perfect for those wanting both hydration and coverage. • Price: Good value in the 30,000 won range for full-size + refill. Recently on sale at Olive Young for 9,900 won - possibly being discontinued? • Packaging: Pretty pink exterior that many will love. Sleek and mature-looking, not childish. • Included puff: The puff is a standout! Very soft and bouncy, ideal for the moisturizing formula. • Adherence: The smooth application comes at a cost - it doesn't quite meld with the skin, feeling more like it's sitting on top. There's a slight floating effect. • Longevity, darkening, breakdown, and glow: As a more hydrating product, it doesn't last as long. I've been searching for a dewy yet long-lasting foundation. A YouTuber I follow did a blind test and showed the results after a few hours - it looked incredibly glowy with minimal breakdown due to sebum and product shine. I thought 'This is it!' and bought it, but it seems too much for oily/combination skin. The glow and longevity are questionable... it breaks down messily. I tried it again when my skin was in better condition, but still not great. Despite the clear ivory tone initially, it darkens and turns grayish over time. This might be due to poor adherence causing it to float on the skin. • Mixed results: The concept of combining coverage and hydration is nice, but it might have been better to excel in one area. The moisturizing base with added powder for coverage seems to interact poorly with oily skin, resulting in subpar longevity, odd breakdown, and color changes. • Mask transfer: In the current situation, we can't avoid masks but still want to wear makeup. Products with powder (like most matte foundations and cushions) tend to transfer. This one, despite being moisturizing, transfers quite a bit due to its powder content - even with setting powder on top. • Post-pandemic potential: Once this period is over, I highly recommend this for dry skin types who love hydration. As someone with combination-oily skin, I notice darkening and graying due to my skin's oil production. Those with dry skin and less oil should find it works beautifully. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 30, 2021
It's incredibly easy to apply and has pretty good coverage. The slightly darker shade worked well for me, especially around the eyes. The staying power is quite decent, and I was satisfied with both the skin finish and overall performance. The cushion's sponge doesn't seem to pair well with the formula. The sponge is very soft, and the formula is on the runny side, so even a light press releases a lot of product onto the puff. This makes controlling the amount a key challenge with this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2021
While there are some potentially risky ingredients, I didn't experience any blemishes or acne! As long as you cleanse well, there shouldn't be any issues. I liked that it applies with a nice moisturizing feel and has a semi-matte finish. It doesn't give much of a glow though... If you're diligent with your skincare routine before applying, the staying power improves. There's a bit of caking around the nose, but overall, I think it offers decent value for money! The packaging design isn't really appealing. It's not pretty at all. I hope for a more attractive case next time. It controls oil well! If you apply powder compact on top, the longevity definitely improves. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 9, 2020
It has a lovely pine scent. When you apply it with the cushion, it goes on smoothly and looks beautiful. You only need to use a small amount, so it should last a long time. The makeup feels a bit cakey and transfers onto masks quite a bit... The color has more of a pink undertone than I expected, which doesn't really suit my complexion. Also, after using this, I feel like my skin condition worsens. It probably just doesn't agree with my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedOct 11, 2020
Wake Make Conceal Glow Cushion Skin type: Dry with oily T-zone, prone to milia and uneven texture I bought this cushion from Olive Young two months ago, but due to COVID, I haven't had many chances to go out. Please note that my actual usage time is slightly shorter. Coverage: 5/5 I usually don't use concealer and rely solely on cushions for coverage. When first applied, it covers my rather dark under-eye circles well. However, as time passes, my dark circles start peeking through. Still, compared to other cushions, the coverage is excellent. If you want dramatic coverage, you can always use a separate concealer. Skin Finish: 3/5 This might be due to my skin issues, but as someone with milia on the forehead and textured cheeks, I found the skin finish disappointing. While my cheeks are usually covered by a mask, my forehead is very exposed since I don't have bangs. The uneven skin texture doesn't look great in photos, making me seek out darker places. However, this is my skin issue, so those with smoother skin should achieve a beautiful finish! Adherence: 1/5 The adherence is really, really disappointing. Given that it's called a 'glow cushion', this might be expected, but it's frustrating. Using powder helps somewhat, but without it, even the slightest touch leaves marks. It transfers onto masks easily, and using the phone is a nightmare. This might vary slightly from person to person, but it's best not to expect too much in terms of adherence. Longevity: 3/5 I'm usually too busy for touch-ups, but after about 7 hours without any, my face only showed slight darkening and oiliness. It doesn't break down beautifully, but it's tolerable. I've never experienced blemishes from this cushion. The puff that comes with it seems to absorb too much product, so I use a puff from another brand. Until I find the perfect cushion for me, I'm willing to repurchase the Wake Make cushion. If you haven't found your ideal cushion yet, it might be worth trying! The price is a bit high, but the cushion itself is not bad to try at least once. Please refer to the above! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 11, 2020
First off, I love the scent and I'm really happy with the packaging. It seems like you get a lot of product too. I bought it at Olive Young and it came with a refill cushion and puff, which I'm thrilled about! While it does brighten up my darker complexion, I feel like it doesn't provide much coverage, unfortunately. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAug 11, 2020
My skin looks great with a radiant glow. It's my first time using a luminous cushion foundation, and I'm quite impressed. The skin coverage is nice. I'm really disappointed with the ingredients. As soon as I applied it, my skin started tingling uncomfortably. While I haven't developed any blemishes yet, the burning sensation on my skin was very unpleasant. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 18, 2020
I really loved how beautifully the cushion's color expressed itself when applied. I usually dislike bases with pink or yellow undertones, but this had a lovely ivory-like shade that I found very appealing. It doesn't give an intense glow like other glowy cushions, making it perfect for those who prefer a subtle Inner Glow. Despite being called a concealer cushion, I was disappointed to find that its coverage wasn't particularly impressive. When it started to break down, it tended to emphasize pores, especially around the nose area. As time passed, it felt like it was deteriorating in a way that looked even messier than my bare skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 24, 2020
It gives a subtle glow after application Seems to apply in a thin layer The coverage is a bit disappointing Doesn't fully conceal redness Doesn't adhere well to the skin, so it tends to transfer easily It's lighter than expected for shade 23
