Vaseline Lip Therapy Color Care in Popping Orange has a light orange hue. I initially thought it would be intense, but it's actually a natural orange that's flattering for both cool and warm skin tones. The shea butter ingredient enhances its hydrating power. While I appreciate how it naturally adds a healthy flush and how often I reach for it, I wish they would improve the formula to be gentler. If they did, I'd definitely repurchase and use it continuously. However, those with skin that doesn't agree with shea butter might find it challenging to use. - or**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 20, 2022
The color is beautiful. I love that it doesn't leave a pink stain. The pigmentation is better than I expected, though it's not as intense as a lipstick. What's with this scent? I wish it was unscented or had a citrusy fragrance like orange, lemon, or grapefruit. Instead, it has this strange smell that's a mix of cucumber and floral notes. - po**********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 19, 2021
I've been using this since purchasing it in winter. During the dry winter months, I apply it 4-5 times a day, and 2-3 times daily otherwise. The texture is rich and creamy, providing longer-lasting hydration compared to other lip care products. I'm quite satisfied with its color payoff too. Personally, I appreciate the scent, though that's a matter of individual preference. I haven't experienced any blemishes, redness, flushing, or itching on my lips or skin. It contains 4 out of 20 caution ingredients, so those with super sensitive skin might experience irritation. The watermelon scent might not appeal to everyone. One downside is that it tends to come off easily when drinking, but it doesn't stain the lips. Rather than using it alone, I often pair it with lipstick. This combination creates a nice gradient effect and improves longevity, which is why I frequently use them together. - ch******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 30, 2021
For a lip balm, the color payoff is surprisingly vibrant. When applied lightly, it enhances your natural lip color, creating a beautiful lip look. After application, it seems to slightly emphasize dead skin cells on the lips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJan 16, 2021
I tend to use this product because my lips lack natural color, making just lip balm insufficient The product is quite thin, so it comes off completely after just a sip of water. There's hardly any staining effect - jj*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMay 8, 2020
1. Color payoff As someone who usually prefers red shades over orange ones, I was pleasantly surprised that this didn't appear as a bright orange on my natural lips. Since I've been wearing less makeup due to masks lately, I've been using this just to add some color to my complexion. I really liked how natural the color looked. 2. Hydration Being a Vaseline product, it's no surprise that the moisturizing power is quite good. It's not overly slick, but rather a lip balm with just the right amount of hydration. I was worried it might feel dry after it wore off, but my lips still felt moisturized. When I twist the bottom of the container to use the lip balm, it feels like the product inside and the outer packaging aren't quite aligned. This gave me the impression that it might be a bit less sturdy. - ke*********Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 21, 2020
As someone who prefers a light makeup look, I really liked how this gave my skin a subtle, healthy glow. It has a watermelon scent, which personally wasn't to my liking. - ir******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 4, 2020
It absorbs well and doesn't look too shiny, so it's not overwhelming. I think it would be suitable for all skin types. The color is natural and pretty. While it's called 'Popping Orange', it's not quite a natural orange (but it can totally pass as your original lip color). Best of all, it didn't cause any blemishes! There are 4 ingredients to be cautious of... Although it didn't cause any blemishes for me, those with sensitive skin or ingredient concerns might not need to use this, especially since there are many other lip balms with gentler ingredients out there. The hydration doesn't last very long, and the color tends to transfer onto cups and tissues.
