I've used A-True oils before, so I knew the product was good when I ordered it. I was always impressed by how well Hwahae packaged their items, but this time I just couldn't stay silent about it. The product box itself was gaping open, and the oil's pump-lock cap (is that what it's called?) - you know, the one that's supposed to prevent leaks - wasn't even attached! It was just rolling around loose. As a result, of course, the oil had leaked. It seems like only a small amount spilled, so I'm still using the product, but the packaging really needs some improvement! I have no complaints about the product itself. After trying many others, I've come full circle back to A-True. The packaging issues described are concerning, especially for a product like facial oil where leakage can be messy and wasteful. Despite this, the reviewer's loyalty to the A-True brand and their satisfaction with the product itself shine through. It's a testament to the quality of A-True's formulations that the customer is willing to overlook the packaging problems. However, it's clear that Hwahae and A-True should address these shipping and packaging concerns to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent potential product waste. - km*******Normal SkinJul 10, 2025
Since plant-based oils don't work well for me, I opted for this product as its main ingredients are synthetic. It has excellent cleansing effectiveness and removes sebum effectively. It's disappointing that it contains limonene and linalool to create fragrance. - do*******Combination SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2025
It's just fine overall~ Both the price and effectiveness are decent.. No major pros or cons really stand out. Nothing in particular~ It's just average across the board.... I guess that could be considered a drawback? This review suggests the product is mediocre, neither excelling nor failing in any specific area. The consumer finds it unremarkable, which could be seen as both a positive (no glaring issues) and a negative (no outstanding qualities). This kind of feedback might indicate that while the product is serviceable, it may lack the wow factor that would make it stand out in a competitive market. - ga********Dry SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJul 7, 2025
The cleansing effectiveness is great, and the texture is thinner than expected. Highly recommended for dry skin types. The only minor drawback is that it feels a bit slippery. Other than that, there are no real downsides. This cleanser seems to be a good option for those with dry skin, offering effective cleansing without being too harsh. The thinner consistency might be surprising but could contribute to its gentle nature. The slight slipperiness mentioned might actually be beneficial for dry skin types, as it could indicate the presence of moisturizing ingredients that help prevent the skin from feeling stripped after cleansing. - ya*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 4, 2025
I've been using this for a year and it's almost finished, but I peeled off the label so you can't see the brand. It's great at removing blackheads. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. It's effective at removing sunscreen, but I haven't tried it on other products so I'm not sure about its overall cleansing effectiveness. - fm********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJul 4, 2025
I snagged this when it was on sale, and the value for money is incredible! It cleanses really well and emulsifies nicely. Honestly, it performs above average for its price point. If it's not on sale, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. The paper label on the container gets dirty easily. I'll likely peel off the paper label as soon as I get it and then use the product. - ay*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 30, 2025
Personally, I'm not a fan of heavy oils like those from some other brands, but I really liked this product because it's not too heavy. The emulsion blends well too, which is great! I'm not sure if it's a common issue with the packaging, but I've gone through two bottles and it feels like it leaks every time I pump it. Such a waste of precious oil! - tn*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 30, 2025
It perfectly tackles both blackheads and whiteheads. The cleansing effectiveness is great, and the texture is just like other cleansing oils. It's perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. I highly recommend this to those with combination dehydrated skin! I can't really think of any downsides. It's a shame it runs out so quickly. Double cleansing is a must! - ji*******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2025
As someone with oily, blemish-prone skin, I appreciate that this cleanser emulsifies well without irritation. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, and the best part is that I don't need to double cleanse, which makes my routine so much simpler. Since it's gentle, it doesn't remove waterproof mascara effectively. I need to use a separate lip and eye makeup remover first. - rs**Combination SkinSensitive SkinJun 29, 2025
It doesn't give an extremely refreshing feeling. It's just mild and gentle on the skin. It doesn't provide that deeply satisfying clean sensation. It probably won't be effective for heavy makeup removal.
