It has a citrus scent. While it's not exactly a pleasant fragrance on its own, it's not unpleasant either. If you're not a fan of citrus, the scent might be a bit bothersome, but you can hardly notice it when actually shampooing. Although it doesn't have a pump, the container is wide and flat, making it easy to grip with one hand. It's lightweight, so it's portable. The transparent bottle lets you see the contents clearly, and the design is sleek. Surprisingly, it has a rich texture that's great for mixing with scrubs. It turns your hair into a frizzy mess. Klorane products generally make hair very stiff, so using a conditioner is a must. Be careful if you have long hair, as it can get tangled easily. Without conditioner, your hair becomes very fluffy. If you shampoo with this citrus one and then use a Klorane conditioner, your hair gets greasy quickly, leaving you in an awkward situation where you're not sure whether to wash it or not. The cap is thin and prone to breaking. The conditioner bottle is also fragile and will break if dropped. When using this shampoo, it's important to consider your hair type and needs. For those with combination dehydrated skin on their scalp, you might want to layer your hair care products carefully. The citrus scent, while not overpowering, could potentially cause irritation for those with super sensitive skin. Despite its cleansing effectiveness, some users might experience dryness, so maintaining the oil and moisture balance of your hair is crucial. If you're prone to allergic reactions, it's advisable to patch test before fully incorporating this product into your hair care routine. - th*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJun 5, 2025
▪️Scalp type: Combination dehydrated, sensitive, problematic ▪️Hair condition: Thin and dry (prone to static), Volume perm twice a year, no coloring Heat styling only when necessary ▪️Incompatible ingredients: Acids (citric acid), Citrus peel oils Centipeda cunninghamii extract Soy-related ingredients ▪️Usage period: 3 months / Used about half before discontinuing Powerful oil removal Completely eliminates greasiness Expensive price Bought it out of curiosity during an Olive Young sale, but it's too pricey to purchase without a discount. Overly powerful oil removal It's so strong that it strips away even the protective oils from the scalp, causing itching and irritation. Hair breakage After using this, it removed all the nutrients from my hair, causing it to break off and turn white as shown in the attached photo. I had to cut my hair short and do intensive nourishing treatments as a result. It's been over 3 months, and even with daily conditioning, my hair keeps breaking. It's really frustrating... I rarely write such negative reviews, but I felt compelled to for this product. If you have scalp issues, hair loss concerns, or thin hair, absolutely do not use this! The best tip is to not buy it at all - po*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessMay 19, 2025
The cleansing power is good, so after using it, I feel refreshed. Moreover, the subtle fragrance suits my preference. This was a bit of a mistake on my part. I thought I had oily scalp issues, so I bought this, but it didn't really work well for me. When I used it, it felt really stiff, and my hair felt very dry when drying it. Also, I feel like my hair is getting thinner. The Hwahae Testers would likely find that using treatment products together would be a good match. - th******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 18, 2025
I am a shampoo nomad searching for the right shampoo for my seborrheic dermatitis. The cleansing power is good, and the fragrance is fresh. The lingering scent is not too strong. It does not irritate my scalp and feels comfortable. It seemed to match about 70% of my needs. The lather doesn't form well, so I end up using too much product. It helps to wet it periodically while applying. Most importantly, it just didn't work perfectly for me. It cleansed well and felt comfortable on my scalp, but I would get a few bumps and dandruff on the back of my head. It's great to buy products when they're on sale at Olive Young. Before trying them out, it's really hard to know if they'll suit you or not. I recommend trying out the good products at least once. - hs*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedApr 29, 2025
The scent is pleasant and very refreshing Cleanses effectively and controls oil well It's mildly acidic and gentle Leaves hair feeling incredibly clean Being mildly acidic, it doesn't lather well, so you need to shampoo twice The citrus scent fades quickly While it removed oil effectively during washing, my hair became oily again quickly the next morning Double cleansing - it********Dry SkinRecommendedNov 28, 2024
The fresh scent and excellent cleansing effectiveness keep me coming back for more The only downside is that it doesn't lather up as well as I'd like - yo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 5, 2024
It's perfect for summer with its refreshing feel. The scent is lovely, and the generous size made it a great value. Since it doesn't lather much, you might end up using more shampoo than expected. However, if you pre-wet your hair thoroughly before applying, you can use just the right amount. - 26******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJul 9, 2024
Since it's designed for oily scalps, it definitely has a powerful feel to it. The scent is an incredibly fresh and zesty lemon aroma. It's perfect for masking any unwanted hair odors with its strong lemon fragrance. I'd especially recommend this to anyone concerned about scalp odor - it works hard to cover up those pesky smells! It really does make your hair feel stiff. You can actually feel your hair becoming more rigid as you use it. - oh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2024
- It definitely absorbs oil and eliminates odors, leaving your hair feeling fresh and clean for a long time. - It also has a volumizing effect, so it could be great for those whose hair tends to fall flat. - For those with damaged hair, it might cause more tangling than usual during washing. While using a conditioner can help, the hair may still feel a bit frizzy. People with bleached hair should probably avoid using this product. - It may be irritating for those with sensitive scalps or seborrheic dermatitis. In winter, it's better to use it only once every 2-3 days. - You absolutely must shampoo twice! Use your regular shampoo first, then follow with this one. This way, you'll get more lather and see much better results. - wh*********Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 30, 2024
For someone with an oily scalp like me, this is a summer essential. I've heard that using oily scalp shampoos daily can actually increase oil production, so I use it every 2-3 days. When I use it, I can feel the oil being stripped away, but it leaves my hair very stiff, so a treatment or conditioner is a must. Even though it contains some caution ingredients, it seems to work well for my scalp as I haven't experienced any blemishes while using it. It's a bit disappointing that 4 out of 20 caution ingredients are present. If you don't use a regular shampoo first and use this product alone, it doesn't lather well. If you wash your hair with a regular shampoo first and then use this product second, it lathers well and the oil on your scalp builds up more slowly the next day.
