I used this without realizing it's a men's fragrance, and it's one of those scents that really hits you hard. The strong aroma can give you a headache if you keep smelling it.

Personally, I believe it would suit men well, and I find the scent so appealing that I'd like to wear it myself. I tried a sample. It contains 7 out of 20 cautionary ingredients and 6 potential allergens. I must admit, I was quite surprised by this. This fragrance would pair perfectly with a man's suit. It's a safe choice for gifting to your boyfriend, and I personally find the scent quite pleasant. I usually dislike typical men's cologne scents, but this one surprised me - it's nothing like that and exceeded my expectations. There are no downsides. Seriously, none at all! The fragrance lasts incredibly long - even after 6 hours, people around you can still catch a whiff. It diffuses well, enveloping the entire room when you're in a shared space. As a sensual and intense masculine scent, the initial impact might be quite strong, but it settles into a gentle and sweet base note, which is delightful. If you're looking for a manly, sensual, and sexy vibe, I'd recommend giving this a try. Given its intense and strong nature, this scent can be quite polarizing and might even cause headaches for some. Keep this in mind when sampling it. I think 2-3 spritzes are just right. You might think that after the initial scent, only men would appreciate it, but I absolutely adore the lingering fragrance. As a woman, I'm even considering purchasing a full-size bottle! There's a subtle softness hidden within its calm and deep notes, making it potentially appealing to women who prefer more androgynous scents. It's the kind of fragrance I'd rather keep for myself than give to a man! (laughs) Personally, I'm not a fan of sweet bouquet scents like Miss Dior, so I've avoided fragrances from this house. However, discovering Sauvage has opened my eyes to a whole new world of scents from this brand. If you enjoy gender-neutral fragrances with a clean, soapy finish, you'll likely love this. I felt quite flattered when someone asked me what perfume I was wearing 3-4 hours after application! It has that distinctive sharpness reminiscent of men's aftershave. Those who dislike that type of scent might really hate this. It has a masculine scent that's refreshing, deep, and sophisticated. I like that the fragrance lasts longer than an eau de toilette, yet it's not as heavy as a parfum. If I had to choose among the three, I'd highly recommend the eau de parfum. While it's more masculine and robust than a parfum, the lingering scent reminds me of a sophisticated aftershave. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of aftershave-like fragrances, which is a bit disappointing.
