Since I wear makeup daily, I tend to get some oil buildup and dead skin cells around my nose and cheeks. I was looking for something to exfoliate twice a week when a colleague gifted me this. The texture has more granules than other scrubs and feels fresh and alive. It's gentle, and when I dampen it slightly and massage it in, it works wonders. At first, I wondered how it differed from other scrubs, but post-use? Wow! My face feels incredibly soft and hydrated. I've never been able to distinguish between good and bad scrubs before, but this product made me realize 'Ah, this is what it's supposed to be like!' If I can't find a replacement, I'd happily stick to this product. It's really hard to find any downsides, but if I had to mention something... The scrub particles might be a bit large for those who are extremely sensitive to exfoliation. However, you can easily adjust the amount you use, so it's not a major issue. Other than that, I have no complaints. No specific additions, but I use it once or twice a week after cleansing with oil and foam. After patting my face dry, I slightly dampen the product and gently massage it all over my face, almost like a caress. When I have time, I even do my neck! It's really great for the neck too. I can definitely feel my skin becoming softer! After using it, I felt like my face became softer. As this was my first time using a scrub product, I couldn't really feel like it was removing sebum from my pores, so I felt it didn't properly fulfill the most important role of a scrub. That's why I gave it 3 stars. In my personal opinion, I didn't find the scent particularly pleasant either. I first used this when I was in Cebu and my skin became incredibly smooth! My makeup applied flawlessly too. It's the best! After returning to Korea, I stopped using it for a while, and my skin went haywire. I repurchased it to tackle excess sebum and dead skin cells, and it's been amazing. My blemishes have calmed down significantly, and my skin feels incredibly soft. It's truly fantastic! The granules are a bit on the larger side, so you need to massage gently. I experienced a definite scrubbing effect! My skin texture became smoother, and those noticeable sebum spots disappeared. My makeup applied beautifully, and even after wiping off the moisture post-scrub, my face didn't feel dry. Using a sheet mask or pack after this is incredibly effective! It's absolutely fantastic when used on the body. Highly recommended! It's really too harsh to use on the face. You need to be very careful with the amount and use it cautiously. Try using it as a body scrub. It works wonders for keratosis pilaris (chicken skin)! After rinsing, it feels like there's a protective layer on my skin - almost like a moisturizing film. It gives me the impression, even if just psychologically, that my skin is getting a bit of hydration. I'm not quite sure about its effectiveness as a scrub. The exfoliating power seems questionable to me.
