Overall, this feels like a lower-tier version or watered-down take on Nature Republic's Black Bean Shampoo. While I'd recommend spending a bit more for the Nature Republic option, this could be a decent choice for those without any specific hair concerns looking for an affordable, no-fuss shampoo. The formula mimics Nature Republic's with an opaque black gel texture. It lathers up beautifully with rich foam and releases a typical sweet shampoo fragrance that fills the air. The scent itself is universally pleasant, though it doesn't linger for long. I have very short hair, so I just shampoo twice without conditioner. While it doesn't leave my hair as silky smooth as Nature Republic's shampoo-only wash (which felt like I'd used conditioner too), it doesn't leave it feeling stiff either. I'd recommend this more for dry scalps than oily ones. As for its anti-hair loss claims, I'd need to use up the whole bottle for a definitive review. Unlike other popular anti-hair loss shampoos where I noticed less shedding right away, with Dr. Seed, I didn't see any immediate difference in hair fall. Given my extremely sensitive, eczema-prone skin, I was worried about the many reviews mentioning skin reactions. Thankfully, I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation. If you're concerned about shampoo residue, consider following up with a gentle, slightly acidic cleanser after your shower. This product doesn't stand out in any particular area - neither positively nor negatively. As someone who prefers shampoos with a distinctive strength rather than an all-around average performer with high ratings, I won't be repurchasing. When choosing a shampoo, consider your specific hair and scalp needs. While this product may work well for some, those with oily scalps or looking for significant anti-hair loss effects might want to explore other options. Remember, what works for one person may not work for another, so it's always worth trying out different products to find your perfect match. - yh*****Dry SkinRecommendedJan 17, 2025
I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it lathers and the scent isn't overpowering, which is great. I bought this because I was shedding a lot of hair in winter, but I'm not sure if I've seen any significant results yet... - th**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsDec 21, 2024
I appreciated that it's vegan, which made it feel trustworthy, and I loved its luxurious appearance. Just a few hours after use, my hair became oily and had a strong odor. What's worse, I started getting dandruff, which I never had with other shampoos. It's really stressing me out. I'm still using it because I don't want to waste it, but I can't recommend this product. - su****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 20, 2024
I love that it's a vegan product I can trust and use with confidence. The gentle ingredients were kind to my scalp, causing no irritation. Plus, it lathers up wonderfully! With my oily scalp, skipping even one day of washing leaves it feeling greasy. As for its effectiveness in reducing hair loss, I'm not really sure. - he***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 6, 2024
The rich lather allows for a refreshing hair wash experience. Personally, I love the subtle floral scent that lingers after rinsing. The transparent bottle is great for easily checking how much product is left. While there's nothing particularly disappointing, those with sensitive skin might experience blemishes if the ingredients don't suit them. - ge******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 25, 2024
🖤 Dr. Seed Black Bean Vegan Low pH Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo 🖤 Before use: As summer approaches and the weather gets hotter and more humid, I worry about my hair losing volume and looking less nourished, which increases my concerns about hair loss. While searching for a new shampoo focused on scalp care, hair health, and preventing hair loss, I discovered Dr. Seed's Black Bean shampoo. I was excited that it not only promotes scalp health but also helps with hair loss, soothes the scalp, reduces dead skin cells, and has a refreshing fruity musk scent perfect for summer! I was reassured by the fact that it's not only beneficial for hair health but has also passed skin irritation tests and human application trials, making it safe for sensitive skin like mine. The fact that it's a certified functional shampoo for alleviating hair loss symptoms made me feel confident in its effectiveness and safety. Although it wasn't guaranteed next-day delivery, I was thrilled that the product was processed for shipping on the same day and arrived the very next day! The packaging was carefully done, which I really appreciated. Often, boxes are unnecessarily large, wasting resources, but this one was just the right size, which is great for sustainability. After use: As you can see in my review video and photos, this shampoo has an interesting semi-transparent black color! My first impression was that I fell in love with the wonderful scent. It has a lovely blend of light citrus, subtle floral notes, and deep musk tones! The fragrance was perfect - not too strong to be overwhelming, but long-lasting enough to enjoy throughout the day. Many vegan shampoos lack lather, but as you can see on my hands, this product produces a rich foam that really gives you that clean feeling! The lather was abundant yet very gentle, leaving my hair and scalp feeling light. Moreover, it didn't cause any itching or blemishes on my neck or back, and I had no allergic reactions! I was so satisfied that despite being a gentle formula, it still produced a rich lather without irritating my skin. I'm really happy to have found such a great product! I was worried about my scalp getting hot and sore in warm weather, potentially affecting its elasticity. However, the scalp-balancing care from isoflavones, anthocyanins, and vitamin E provided excellent cooling and soothing effects without causing any blemishes. Surprisingly, it contains the patented moplex herbal ingredient, which is great for hair vitality, and the black beans help strengthen hair from the roots - perfect for this hot summer weather. After two years of continuous bleaching and dyeing, I've finally decided to stop. Now I want to focus on healthy hair and need a high-quality shampoo rich in nutrients like peat water that can improve hair strength, prevent hair loss, and enhance hair growth and elasticity. Even though I'm in my 20s, I realize I need to care for my hair health just as I do for my skin. I plan to use this shampoo daily to slow-age my hair health, focusing on the roots with its patented ingredients that vitalize hair in the growth phase. Overall: I especially recommend this for those with sensitive scalps and hair, or those prone to blemishes on their back and neck. It's a lightweight product that's gentle on the skin and leaves hair soft without drying it out. It's a perfect product with rich lather, soft hair feel, and a great scent. The quantity is generous and the price is very reasonable, so I highly recommend it! The quantity is generous and the price is very reasonable, so I can't think of any downsides at the moment! Unique visual with black-colored shampoo Transparent bottle makes it easy to see how much is left It must be due to some ingredient. This isn't about personal preference for a scent, but a genuine chemical-like smell. It's a suffocating odor, like newspaper ink, that hits you suddenly. I tried to bear with it, but even after rinsing, the smell lingers on the scalp. Feeling this wasn't just a matter of personal taste, I contacted Coupang, but they said opened products can't be returned. Coupang is just the retailer, so I reached out to the manufacturer. They gave the same response, so I just threw it away. Shouldn't they investigate when someone reports an odor, not a fragrance issue? This is a product that touches the skin. I can somewhat understand Coupang's stance, but Dr. Seed... Telling me to contact Coupang isn't the right approach, is it? - ch*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2024
- I had trouble finding an anti-hair loss shampoo that also smelled great, but I discovered this product and realized there are shampoos that work hard against hair loss while having a pleasant fragrance! - The product name mentions 'black bean', so I looked it up. Apparently, black beans provide nourishment to the hair and help prevent hair loss! - The 1,000ml size allows for worry-free use! It's a large volume with great value for money, so I'm using it with complete satisfaction. - Even with a small amount, it creates rich lather, making it suitable for women with long hair too! - I love that the container is transparent with black shampoo inside, making it easy to see how much is left. Fragrance: - I was worried that an anti-hair loss shampoo might not smell good, but contrary to my concerns, it has a delightful, fresh apple scent that I absolutely love! There were no downsides! After using it, I found that not only does it smell great, but I could also feel my hair texture improving significantly. I've been using it with complete satisfaction! - ch*******Normal SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 2, 2024
After trying this cleanser, I was quite satisfied. The lather was just right, and most importantly, it left my skin feeling less stripped. It's not exactly a downside, but the scent is rather subtle. - wk********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 20, 2024
My hair is thick and coarse, but this shampoo lathers up so well that one pump is enough to wash it all. It leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable. The scent isn't as fragrant as I'd like, which is a bit disappointing. However, everything else about the product is great.
