I have combination skin that's prone to dryness, and if I don't manage my dead skin cells and hydration, there's no way I can apply base makeup. The texture is moderately thin, and it has excellent cleansing effectiveness. Sometimes I only wear mineral sunscreen, and other times I layer sunscreen, primer, and foundation. It removes everything thoroughly without leaving my skin feeling tight afterwards. I've been using this for over two years now. I tried switching to Witch Factory's oil cleanser for a week, but I came right back to this one. The amount is a bit small. It would be great if they could sell it in a larger size. The instructions say you can use it on damp skin without emulsifying, but I prefer to use it on dry skin and go through the full emulsification process. This method leaves my face smooth even without regular exfoliation. (I used to use an exfoliating product 1-2 times a week, but since using this oil cleanser, I only need to exfoliate once every two weeks to maintain my skin.) - vm*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2025
The low pH cleanser is well-matched to skin's natural acidity, protecting the skin barrier from post-cleanse irritation. It leaves my skin feeling deeply hydrated without any tightness. I love the refreshing scent, and how effectively it removes makeup while nourishing my skin with moisture and nutrients. Even after double cleansing, my skin feels incredibly hydrated. As someone prone to blemishes and sensitive to most products, I'm pleasantly surprised that this cleanser doesn't cause any irritation and feels gentle on my skin. Just be careful when dispensing - a gentle pump is enough, as pressing too hard can release more product than needed. To use, pump out the product and gently massage it onto the areas you want to cleanse first. Then, wipe with a cotton pad. After that, lightly massage the cleanser all over your face in circular motions. Finally, rinse thoroughly with water for a clean, refreshed complexion. - ch*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMar 23, 2025
It feels like it removes makeup adequately and effectively without any fuss It's so watery that it's hard to gauge how much to use - zz*****Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJan 30, 2025
While I'm somewhat satisfied with the cleansing effectiveness and overall feel, the intense tingling sensation in my eyes makes it impossible for me to use. Unfortunately, the eye irritation is too severe to continue using this product. - mm********Dry SkinRecommendedJan 26, 2025
I loved how lightweight the texture was and how it left my skin feeling fresh and clean. Unfortunately, its cleansing effectiveness wasn't quite strong enough to completely remove all my makeup. - wj*********Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 20, 2024
Skin Type: I'm conscious about my pores. T-zone is oily, U-zone is dry, and butterfly zone is slightly oily. I experience deep dryness and have dehydrated skin. Texture and Application: True to its oil form, it spreads easily and smoothly. Cleansing Effectiveness: Conveniently removes makeup without needing separate lip and eye removers. Can be gently massaged for comfortable removal. Surprisingly, despite no emulsification process, it rinses off well with water. Convenience and Hygiene: Love that I can pump out the desired amount. Great for controlling usage. Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I find no bothersome scents. Volume: Stays true to the standard 200ml. Repurchase Intent: Absolutely! The lack of emulsification might feel strange for first-time users, but you'll quickly get used to it. - 20*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2024
1. Even waterproof mascaras that usually require special eye makeup remover come off effortlessly with this. 2. No tight feeling after cleansing. 3. Unlike typical cleansing oils, it rinses off quickly without leaving a slippery residue when it comes in contact with water. 4. After using this, even a gentle foam cleanser lathers well and leaves skin feeling fresh. Among the cleansing oils I've used over 20 years, starting with DHC, this one ranks in the top 3. 1. The texture is more honey-like than oily, making it a bit thick and less spreadable when massaging. 2. Due to its thickness, you need to pump it about 3 times for a single use. 3. It can cause a slight stinging sensation if it gets into your eyes. Interestingly, some drawbacks double as advantages. Many lighter oils can accidentally spray far when pumping if you're not careful with pressure control, sometimes ending up on the floor. This one, however, stays put on your palm even with a firm press. Also, while applying thinner oils to your face, they occasionally drip onto clothes, forcing you to change. With this product, I've never had such mishaps. - mi***Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2024
It cleanses really well! I use it to remove sunscreen and I'm very satisfied. Hmm, I'm generally satisfied with it, so I can't really think of any drawbacks. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2024
I love how it even removes mascara effectively. It feels like makeup gently melts away, so you can use it with a light touch and still get great results. For me, it stings and hurts when it comes into contact with my eyes. You need to be careful when removing eye makeup, and it's thinner in consistency than I expected. - 52****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 22, 2024
I was really into low pH products and wanted to switch all my cleansing products to low pH. However, I found it difficult to find low pH oil cleansers. Since Fre:ty was one of the few low pH oil options available, I decided to give it a try. I used about 1/6 of the bottle before switching to something else. The gel-like texture felt slippery and seemed to just glide over my skin without really cleansing. I didn't feel like it effectively removed my makeup, and the slippery sensation persisted even after rinsing. The user experience was disappointing. One of the main reasons for using an oil cleanser is to dissolve sebum, but this product's particles felt so large that I doubted it could effectively break down any excess oil. It just didn't seem capable of deeply cleansing my pores.
