Gentle on the skin, perfect for combination skin types. It's not harsh at all - actually quite mild and easy to use. Unlike similar products from other brands, this one doesn't have any strange scent. There's definitely some light pilling, and unfortunately it didn't really help much with blemishes.

Instead of applying and patting it in, you apply this serum to your face after cleansing but before toner, gently massage it in circular motions, then rinse it off. It's said to help remove dead skin cells. While it's not as intense as a gommage peeling, where you can visibly see the dead skin coming off, it's gentle enough for daily care. This is perfect for someone like me who easily gets blemishes from harsh exfoliants! Unlike other serums, the wash-off aspect can be a bit of a hassle since you have to apply it and then rinse it off again after cleansing. That's why I keep it in the bathroom for convenience. The fact that it exfoliates suggests it might cause some skin irritation, so if you have super sensitive skin, it might be better to use it every 2-3 days rather than daily.
