If you have dry skin or use matte cosmetics, I absolutely recommend this! The only slight downside might be that it's a bit sticky? But personally, I apply this before my matte foundation. Because it has some tackiness, my base makeup adheres so well! So for me, this supposed drawback actually feels like a benefit. I love how this serum softens the heavy cream version. I mix them together instead of applying separately, which makes the cream much more spreadable. I bought this because it claimed to provide 100 hours of hydration, but it's not nearly as moisturizing as advertised.
