It's so lightweight yet full of hydration that there's no pilling when I apply makeup over it. The texture is incredibly light but still moisturizing, making it perfect for hot summer use. I liked that it was lightweight and not sticky at all. The scent was also quite pleasant. I'm not sure about its soothing effects. I bought this because my skin felt too hot during summer. I had high hopes since it contains water dropwort, known for its cooling and soothing effects. The texture is a thin serum that absorbs quickly when applied. It's great for a light application. It does seem to have some calming effects on the skin. It's moisturizing and gentle, making it great as a base product. Seems to work well on heated, reddened skin. It's moisturizing, gentle, and great! The price is affordable, so it's perfect for everyday use. Without a discount, I couldn't buy it at full price. It tends to pill a bit. Sigh
