I decided to try the compact version because loose powder tends to create a lot of excess dust. As someone with dry skin, heavy powder application can make my skin look flaky, but this compact goes on in a thin layer, which I'm really happy with. It's a bit disappointing that I need to apply multiple layers because it goes on so thinly.

Dry Skin Needing Pore/Oil Control: After a hydrating base, I recommend using it selectively on areas where you want a matte finish! Even with a quick application, it leaves a soft, blurred effect as if it's been expertly buffed. When used on slightly damp skin, it can clump together. I originally planned to buy a compact from another brand, but it was out of stock so I hastily purchased this one. Recently, I saw that YouTuber "Office Worker A" picked it as their best powder compact! I really love how it creates a soft-focus effect on the skin and controls excess oil so well that I wanted to keep using it, but... Every time I use this, I get small bumps on my skin, which is disappointing... While it does an excellent job controlling oil and making my skin look beautiful, the appearance of these tiny bumps accentuates the uneven texture, making me hesitant to continue using it. It goes on clear, so it doesn't interfere with your natural makeup look. Being a pressed powder, there's hardly any excess and it gently controls oil, which is great! I switched from Daiso to Banila Co because my face felt a bit tingly every time I used the Daiso one, and I'm loving it! The puff is plump and soft, so there's no irritation. First off, it's great because there's hardly any caking. The blurring effect is top-notch! Using powder definitely boosts its staying power, and when you apply this, you get that wonderfully soft, velvety feeling. I think it would work well for all skin types. This compact delivers outstanding skin coverage and does an amazing job at controlling excess oil. It's a game-changer! While loose powder might offer better oil control, it's trickier to apply precisely and not as convenient for touch-ups on the go. That's why I opted for this compact. I can't say there was anything particularly impressive, but the design seems clean and simple. I bought this to apply after makeup, but the more I used it, the harder the surface became. When I tried to apply it, it would flake off in chunks and stick all over my face. It was strange! It doesn't absorb well, and overall, I definitely don't recommend it.
