It's a soft pink shade, but I'm using it as a blush rather than an eyeshadow. I love how the subtle color doesn't stand out too much. There's not really anything to complain about, but there is a bit of excess powder when applying. - na*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 26, 2025
The texture is great! It goes on velvety smooth with a matte finish. However, I'm a bit disappointed with Holika's color range. Holika's formula applies beautifully, but the shade selection could use some improvement. - js*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 9, 2025
It's absolutely gorgeous on summer cool tones, giving a beautiful, radiant look Great as a base or on its own for a light, casual day out - it's really versatile! Being a single eyeshadow, it's easy to misplace. I recommend creating your own palette to keep it safe. Holika Holika has such pretty colors, so it's worth buying several and making your own custom palette. - yj*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 1, 2025
A velvety soft, multi-purpose base shadow that doubles as a blush I primarily used it as a blush, and it applies beautifully with a soft, diffused effect. It's also great for brightening the aegyo sal (under-eye area). The powder is incredibly fine-textured. When used as a blush, there was quite a bit of excess powder fallout. If you're not careful with the amount, it can apply patchy and heavy. - gi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 7, 2025
The color is a slightly pinker shade than strawberry milk. It's a perfect pink for everyday wear! This shade is beautiful as a blush! It works wonderfully for mixing and matching blush and eyeshadow. It tends to crease a bit in the eyelid fold. Since it's an eyeshadow, it doesn't have that skin-hugging feel on the face. - 15****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
Holika Holika's Single Shadow is famous not only for its excellent quality but also for its affordable price. I heard it's widely used in beauty shops, and after trying it myself, I completely understand why. The color payoff on the eyes is much more subtle and naturally beautiful compared to swatching on the back of your hand. The wide variety of shades is a huge plus, allowing you to choose the perfect one for your needs! I bought two colors, 'Pinky Kid' and 'Wisteria'. Pinky Kid is perfect as a base for a bright, cool-toned makeup look, while Wisteria is a muted shade great for creating a moody atmosphere. I'm so satisfied with both that I'm planning to purchase the 'Rose Taupe' shade soon (it looks really pretty too). Given the reasonable price, I'd recommend giving it a try if you're curious! The case can be a bit tricky to open at first. In my excitement to quickly open it, I accidentally scratched it a little. But the generous amount of product and its beauty make it easy to forgive this minor flaw! - ba*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 3, 2025
This is a must-have item when you want to create a radiant pink-toned makeup look While it's supposed to give a fair complexion, it feels a bit hazy. It's as if it doesn't adhere well to the skin - ha********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 2, 2025
The perfect blush with its soft pink hue mixed with a hint of white. While there's a bit of excess powder, the fine particles and excellent adherence create a beautifully blurred finish that I love. When used as an eye base, it tends to look a bit cakey, so I only apply it on my cheeks. - la********Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 1, 2025
I love how unique the color is. When applied to the eyes, it gives off a subtle coral sheen that's really beautiful. I'm tempted to buy two, but I'm holding back. The pigmentation is excellent, the color is gorgeous, and it looks stunning even when worn alone. You need to be careful when opening the case. If you're not gentle, you might accidentally scratch the eyeshadow with your nails. Handle with care! It's very convenient to carry around. - th********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 26, 2025
The Holika Holika My Fave Piece Eyeshadow in 'Pinky D' immediately struck me as a perfect match for light undertones. It's a bright, soft pink that really enhances your complexion, making it look clearer and more radiant. Even though I have a deep undertone, this delicate pink wasn't overwhelming at all - in fact, it gave me a beautifully fresh look that I absolutely loved. One of the best things about this product is its versatility. While 'Pinky D' might seem a bit intense at first glance, it actually creates a lovely, subtle pink glow on the skin. You can use it as a base, an accent color, on your cheeks, aegyo sal, or even as a lip highlight. It's truly a multi-purpose shade. The matte texture is especially great, as it allows for stable color payoff without any fallout. The application and blending are also fantastic. The shadow feels smooth and doesn't kick up much powder when you pick it up with your finger or brush. It adheres beautifully to the eyelids and blends out effortlessly, making it perfect even for makeup beginners. If you want a simple, polished eye look, just sweep this pink all over your lid for a clean, fresh appearance. Another great benefit is how it evens out your skin tone. When applied to the eyelids or aegyo sal, it doesn't just add color - it seems to brighten your skin overall. The soft pink helps to cover any redness or dullness, giving the impression of a more uniform complexion. This is why I highly recommend it as a multi-use shadow that can double as a blush or highlighter. Lastly, it's a shade you can use all year round. It's perfect for a bright spring look, a cool summer vibe, or as a fresh accent color in autumn and winter. If you're a fan of subtle makeup, this could easily become your go-to base color for everyday use. While this shadow has many positives, 'Pinky D' does have a few drawbacks. Firstly, the color can be more intense than expected, which might be overwhelming for some skin tones. Although it's a pretty pink, it can look too white or unnatural on certain complexions. This is especially true for those with deeper warm undertones or medium to dark skin tones, where it might appear chalky or ashy. Therefore, buying online without testing first carries some risk. The longevity is another concern. While it has decent color payoff compared to other Holika Holika shadows, its light color tends to fade or blend into your skin tone over time. This is particularly noticeable on oily eyelids, where the color might almost disappear as the day goes on. Without an eye primer, it's unlikely to last all day on its own. The shade's versatility can also be somewhat limited. While it's marketed as a multi-use color, this soft pink won't suit every look. It might clash with brown or shadowy makeup styles, and could make your eyes appear puffy if used with very red-toned looks. If not applied carefully, it might even give the impression of smudged makeup. The single-color format is another potential drawback. Many products nowadays come in palettes with multiple shades for creating various looks. The My Fave Piece only comes in one color, which limits the range of styles you can achieve. While it's a versatile shade on its own, beginners might struggle with layering or combining it with other shadows. Lastly, the packaging could be improved. While it's small and cute, the clear plastic case is prone to scratches, and the lid seems a bit flimsy. With prolonged use, the opening mechanism might become loose, and there's a risk of it breaking if carried around in a bag. A more durable case would have been preferable. This shadow isn't just great for your eyelids - try using it as a highlighter on your aegyo sal, nose bridge, cheeks, chin, or cupid's bow to give your overall makeup a polished finish. For best results, apply it with your fingertip rather than a brush - just dab it on gently for better adherence and color payoff. Since it's matte, it gives more of a tone-up effect rather than a shimmery glow, making your skin look brighter and more even. I highly recommend it as a 'tone-up correcting' shadow for creating a subtle, unified look!
