True to its name, this is an eyeliner you can genuinely use for a 'natural, bare-faced look'. The Etude House No Makeup Liner subtly defines your eyes without being too obvious, so even on days when you're not wearing makeup, a light application can make people think, "I thought her eyes always looked like that naturally." The color is a soft brown shade that's easy to wear without being overwhelming. Although it's a brush pen type, the tip is thin and flexible, making it easy to draw precise lines. Even with slightly shaky hands, it applies smoothly without clumping or smudging, making it perfect for daily use. The staying power is quite good, and thanks to the natural-looking color payoff, it lasts long without needing touch-ups. Especially when applied thinly between the lashes, it really makes your eyes pop and look more defined. There weren't any downsides! I was completely, absolutely satisfied! - ce****Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessApr 13, 2025
It effectively eliminates oiliness around the eyes and has good staying power when applied The color is light, making it suitable for beginners or those who prefer subtle makeup. However, it tends to flake off when layered Remember to shake well before use - so********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedFeb 19, 2025
I haven't tried other eyeliners, but this one seems to have pretty good staying power! Since it's called a 'natural look' eyeliner, I'm not sure why, but I bought the darkest shade. However, it's just... about the same intensity as a regular eyeliner. I'd recommend everyone to get shade 2 instead of shade 1 like I did! That way, you might actually get that natural look the eyeliner promises... Recommendation: Warm tones should go for shade 2, while cool tones should opt for shade 1! - j1****Oily SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRecommendedDec 3, 2024
It's light enough to wear to school, and perfect for highlighting the aegyo sal (under-eye area)! It's a bit too sheer; I wish it was just a tad more pigmented. - ol************Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDec 2, 2024
It has great staying power and glides on beautifully in one stroke. The packaging is pretty, slim, and compact, making it perfect to carry in your pocket. The eyeliner clumps up occasionally. It dries out quickly even if you leave the cap off for just a moment. The color is more intense than expected and doesn't have that soft, watercolor-like effect. - ja*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 14, 2024
It was challenging at first, but as I kept using it, I found it to be quite nice When I opened it right after receiving, a lot of the liquid spilled out and made a mess. The color isn't as light as I expected - cf********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 14, 2024
I always felt that black eyeliner made me look heavy and overly made-up. But this one is truly natural and beautiful - it's absolutely perfect! If you want to wear eyeliner but don't want your makeup to look too intense, this is exactly what you need. There's honestly nothing to complain about! It's so good I'm struggling to find any downsides! - gu*********Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 27, 2024
Absolutely fantastic! I'm not usually one to hoard cosmetics, but this one's so amazing I've stocked up. The watery color is incredibly natural-looking. If Etude House released a pencil liner in this shade, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Nothing really. It's such a great product that I've stocked up on it, so I don't have any complaints. Highly recommend purchasing! - th*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 9, 2024
1. Natural color payoff 2. Smooth application 3. Great staying power (I have dry skin) I didn't find any major drawbacks, so I plan to stick with this for a natural-looking liner - 6s********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 21, 2024
This seems great for beginners! If you make a mistake, it's easy to erase and correct. The color payoff isn't too intense either. It also feels like it lasts a long time on the eyes. While easy correction is a plus, it comes off too easily as well. For someone like me with dry eyes and frequent tearing, I found it wipes away too quickly.
