As someone who constantly battles chapped lips and lives by lip balms, I can confidently say Kiehl's lip balm is the best I've ever used. It's incredibly hydrating, and thanks to its rich formula, it lasts for ages. Usually, oil-based lip balms lack moisture, but this one provides a truly satisfying level of hydration. The mint scent is refreshingly cool. When my lips are cracked and rough, I apply it generously to my lips and surrounding skin before bed, and wake up to amazingly moisturized lips. The texture is a bit too rich for wearing under makeup. If you apply a lip tint over it, it tends to slide around. That's why I mainly use it as part of my nighttime routine. - po********Combination SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 7, 2024
Kiehl's lip balms come in various scents, but I've always been a mint fan, so I keep using this one! It's moisturizing and nice, with minimal stickiness... Thumbs up! It would have been even better if the container had a slanted cut to make it easier to apply directly to the lips... When doing your skincare routine, remember to include lip balm as part of your care. They say the brain quickly recognizes dryness on the lips, so keep them hydrated! - bu*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 8, 2024
Kiehl's lip balm is the best! I've tried many others, but for hydration, this one takes the crown. My lips get incredibly dry in winter, and I used to pick at them constantly. Now, if I slather this all over my lips and even above the lip line before bed, I wake up with super soft lips. I especially love the mint scent, and according to Hwahae, it even has a lip plumping effect! When applying it in the dark before bed, it's hard to control how much comes out. I tend to apply with my pinky finger, so I always have to wipe off the excess with a tissue. In summer, the formula becomes quite runny, so you need to be careful not to squeeze out too much. The glossy finish can be a bit much for everyday wear (it can make lipstick slide off, making touch-ups tricky). Still, for moisturizing power, nothing beats this. For best results, try applying it generously above and below your lip line, like Go Eun-ae (from Two Days and One Night). - Hwahae UserDry SkinRednessRecommendedOct 18, 2023
Usage experience: I typically apply a generous amount before bed and remove it in the morning while exfoliating. It's excellent for removing dead skin cells. The formula feels slightly moisturizing, which seems to help soften the skin more effectively. After wiping it off, my lips feel incredibly smooth. The lip balm even lasts until morning. It's a bit runny. Might be challenging to use outdoors during summer as it could melt. - ny*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 5, 2023
I absolutely love anything with a minty scent or feel! When I apply this, it gives a slightly cooling sensation. It's not overpowering, but has a subtle mint effect that I'm really satisfied with. The scent is a mild mint fragrance, so I'm using it without any major aversion. It's a clear lip balm, so it doesn't color-correct your lips when applied, but it does go on with a bit of a glossy finish :) In terms of price, I think it's neither too expensive nor too cheap for a lip balm these days. Still, it's from a fairly well-known brand and the packaging looks luxurious, so I think it would make a nice gift or a cute accessory. I wouldn't recommend this if you dislike or are sensitive to mint scents. Being in a tube format, it tends to flow out like water when applied in summer or if kept in warm places... :( Due to its formulation, it's quite sensitive to temperature! I either keep it in a cool place or turn it upside down when applying to prevent it from flowing out. Swiping it on before bed helps soothe your lips :)
