I've been using this since early this year, from February-March until now in mid-July. From my experience so far, I can say it's great! It applies lightly and makes my skin look flawless. Even my friends ask me what powder I'm using. Since I tend to sweat a lot, I notice some pilling if I apply it right after my face gets sweaty. However, I found that if I gently pat my face with a handkerchief and only apply it to areas that look oily, it works just fine! The powder has a lightweight texture that's easy to apply, resulting in a smooth, porcelain-like complexion. It's effective enough to garner compliments and inquiries from those around me. While it may pill slightly on very sweaty skin, this issue can be easily managed by blotting excess moisture before application, especially on oily areas. Overall, it's a versatile product that works well for everyday use, even for those with combination dehydrated skin. - se*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJul 5, 2025
Usage period: 3 months What I liked: First off, the powder particles are incredibly fine, so when you apply the right amount, it makes your skin look smooth. With some powders that have coarser particles, you can get a patchy look, but this one works great! Also, since the powder has a purple tint, it's perfect for those with yellow undertones. It really brightens up your complexion and evens out your skin tone! What could be improved: The staying power was a bit disappointing. As a student, I always apply powder in the morning before heading out. However, if I take a quick nap during breaks, I always find it rubbing off on my clothes. I tend to apply powder quite generously for a matte finish, so this was rather unexpected and frustrating. Tip: Applying with a powder brush works wonders! Just be careful not to over-apply, as it might lead to blemishes. - ak********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 27, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated with deep undertone, muted tone, shade 21 vanilla base. I originally planned to buy the Hince Powder in Beige, but it was sold out so I got Lavender instead. I'm very satisfied! I was worried it might only suit cool tones, but it actually makes my skin look more radiant and brightens my complexion by one shade. If you typically use base makeup in shade 21, you should be able to use this comfortably without it looking too dark. The powder particles are fine, so they cover pores well and effectively control oil. I didn't really experience any downsides while using it. Even the packaging isn't bulky, so it fits nicely in my mini bag. Using the included sponge cushion provides much better coverage than a brush. - ks*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 22, 2025
The powder doesn't create much excess when applied with a brush. Its lavender hue can brighten up yellow-toned complexions. As someone with dry skin, I find it provides just the right amount of powder coverage without being too drying. I'm not thrilled with the ingredients. That's my only concern. It's a bit... ordinary, perhaps? - 2_*******Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 28, 2025
As someone who used to feel sad when my face would mysteriously turn sallow by lunchtime despite looking fine in the morning... that was me! I'm not sure if it's due to work or what, but when I looked in the mirror during lunch, I really looked... haggard. I don't typically use base makeup products, so of course, I can't expect the same staying power as dedicated base makeup, and I don't usually touch up my makeup either, so the results were to be expected ^_^; I just wished that even with just powder alone, I could look a bit more radiant... So I decided to try this purple powder! 💟Texture It's a super soft powder compact! Personally, I prefer powder compacts over loose powder for on-the-go, so I chose the Hince product among powder compacts. 💟Color payoff Naturally, it makes your face brighter than regular white powder compacts! That said, it's not overly pigmented, but gives a natural radiance. 💟What I especially liked With other powder compacts, even without dropping them, as the product decreased, chunks would often... crumble off. So when I'd open the powder compact, it would sprinkle everywhere... and then fall on my clothes... Whether I was lucky or if it's just how it is, I'm not sure, but this happened much less with the Hince powder! The middle... case? Where you put the puff... breaks very easily... - er*****Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 2, 2024
It feels like you're wearing nothing at all! Incredibly lightweight! Yet it effectively controls unwanted shine, making it a go-to product. A perfect powder for year-round use. It's a shame the puff gets dirty so quickly... It would be even better if there were additional puffs included besides the built-in one! I found it works great with a brush too! - dn********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 23, 2024
I highly recommend this for those with a light complexion but with a slightly yellow undertone! It brightens your skin tone just right while neutralizing the yellowness, which I absolutely love. While it may not excel at blurring pores, I'd say it's pretty good for a powder! I have super sensitive skin, but this didn't cause any blemishes around my pores! It's perfect in every way, except for being a bit on the pricey side. This product doesn't completely control oil, so if you want to manage oiliness in your T-zone, I suggest lightly dusting with another powder on top. - ho********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresOct 21, 2024
It goes on thin and light. Rather than neutralizing yellow undertones, it provides a slight brightening effect. The pink tones are more prominent than the purple. It's not too drying, making it suitable for those with combination to dry skin. The staying power is really poor. Oil comes back quickly, so it might only be useful for controlling oil around the eyes or eyebrows. I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. If you keep reapplying, the pink-purple tint becomes very noticeable in those areas. The color difference between applied and non-applied areas becomes too stark, so I've decided to stop using it. - ji********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedSep 5, 2024
This is seriously amazing! It's so lightweight, and even though I have dry skin, it doesn't make my dead skin cells flake. Plus, it naturally evens out my skin tone. The price is a bit steep, so I find myself trying to use it sparingly each time... - t0**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJul 16, 2024
I bought this because of the good ads, and well... Positive points: 1. The case is pretty 2. ...? 3. ...? It just feels like a cheap powder to be honest... It breaks incredibly easily. I got a brand new one and before I could even use it, it suddenly fell apart. So frustrating!
