The best part for me was how it made my skin look. The phrase 'moist inside, powdery outside' perfectly describes the Mood cushion. As someone with dry skin who couldn't use powder and was firmly in the 'must be moisturizing' camp, I really hated when my hair would stick to my face. But with the Mood cushion, the outside stays powdery, so no dust or hair sticks to it. I realized I don't even need powder anymore. It feels like I've found my holy grail cushion. I'm definitely sticking with Mood for my spring and summer cushion! There aren't many downsides, but if I had to nitpick: when trying to layer small amounts, you need to tap off excess product before applying the puff to your face. The Mood cushion's cover is quite smooth, making it hard to tap off product evenly. I thought it might be better if it had slight ridges like some other cushions, which would make it easier to tap off product evenly for layering. Don't apply the cushion directly to your face after picking up product. Instead, tap off what seems like an excessive amount and spread it evenly on one area of the cushion so the foundation isn't concentrated in one spot. Then apply a thin layer to your face. The coverage is medium, so those without many blemishes will find it covers well. As someone with lots of blemishes, I found that thin layering provided better coverage. - da*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 18, 2025
I tried this based on YouTube beauty guru Mary's recommendation! I have dry skin and usually use cushions in shades 19-21. Here's what I found: - It's a true ivory with no yellow undertones, perfect for those who dislike yellowish bases. - The coverage is medium; it doesn't completely conceal everything (you can see in the photo that my spots are still visible). - The adherence is average, but it tends to lift a bit in winter... Though that's somewhat expected since it's not a dewy cushion. It lifts too much on the skin in winter, and the coverage isn't complete! To combat the lifting issue in winter, I've been dampening the cushion with some ampoule or face mist before gently patting it onto my skin. - ki*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessOct 4, 2024
This seems ideal for those with dry skin who don't have noticeable pores or skin texture issues. This product appears to be highly dependent on skin condition. Sometimes it exaggerates pores, accentuates texture, highlights oiliness, and makes skin look patchy. Other times, it effectively covers pores. As someone with combination skin, large pores, and uneven texture, I've tried both patting and spreading methods, but it's challenging to use. For those with redness-prone skin, it doesn't cover blemishes well, so a concealer is definitely necessary. - gh*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 11, 2024
I got an incredible deal during the launch event, purchasing it for just over 20,000 won, including a refill! After using it about 6 times, I've found that as the weather gets warmer, it feels much better on my dry skin. It was a bit heavy until May, but since June, when the weather turned sweaty, it's been perfect. The base doesn't smudge or run even when I sweat, there's hardly any darkening, and I don't feel any deep dryness. The overall feel is great. In many ways, it's a 'Oh? This is pretty good' kind of cushion. The coverage is decent too. I especially love the color. When I use this cushion, it matches my skin tone so well that I'm really happy with how it looks, making me want to take more selfies. I'm leaving this review since there weren't many others. It's not the easiest to control. Rather than applying it liberally like a glow cushion, it's better to control the amount and apply it thinly. For those with dry skin, it might be prone to emphasizing dead skin cells around the nose area, so it's good to exfoliate before applying. For me too, it was a bit heavy until May, but now that the weather is sweatier, it's just right. I'd rate it better than 4 stars, probably around 4.5.
