The application is incredibly smooth and pleasant! Its mousse-like texture glides effortlessly onto the lips, making it easy to control the amount. The color is a soft, ashy mauve that creates a mood perfect for winter cool-toned individuals. It's not too dark, making it an ideal shade for everyday wear! However... the staying power? Well, that's another story. I couldn't detect any at all. True to its "Shocking" name, it creates a truly shocking yogurt effect on the inner lips. After wearing it for a while, when you speak, it leaves a white residue inside your mouth... This was truly alarming. I was startled when I went to the restroom during work. Even though I have deep winter cool-toned skin, the color payoff is disappointingly sheer. While the shade is pretty, it has absolutely no presence on the lips. I've repurposed this as a cream blush instead. When patted onto the cheeks, the color spreads beautifully, so it seemed wasteful to discard it. It applies smoothly and has a lovely scent. The color is beautiful too. The price isn't bad either, so I plan to keep using it. If you're on the fence because of some drawbacks, it's still worth trying. It looks prettier than other products. If you don't apply it carefully, it can look way too intense. The pigmentation is good, but it comes off when eating. Does it make your lips look twisted because they're dry? I was searching for a long-lasting tint when I heard about the incredible staying power of Tony Moly's Shocking Lip, so I decided to try it - and it's truly amazing! I have an allergy to lip products, so I apply Vaseline first and then layer this on top, yet it still has great longevity! For those without allergies, I imagine it would have even better staying power when applied directly! As a winter cool tone, shade 10 Mauve Shocking suited me beautifully! This is my second tube, and I've used it up completely. I'm definitely planning to repurchase! I wish there were more lip color options... Wow, the color is really nice! My lips are super sensitive, and even lip balms can cause issues, but thankfully this works well for me. There's no creasing, and I was worried my lips would get dry and shriveled, but they didn't - I'm so satisfied! I'm surprised that a staining lip tint can create such a lovely mauve shade. It's not the kind of mauve that brightens your face, but rather a classic, calm mauve that's perfect for fall. Following the website's instructions, I applied it, blotted with a tissue, and repeated three times - the staying power is incredible! As you layer it, it can get a bit muddy like red bean paste, so I only apply two layers all over and a third layer just on the inner part of my lips. Just a heads up, if you have a darker complexion, this might make you look a bit sallow! There's not much to complain about... The color payoff is intense! It's a rare mauve-toned tinted lip product, which is fantastic. Perfect for those with cool undertones. There's a slight tendency for it to develop a 'yogurt-like' texture on the lips, unfortunately.
