As someone with sensitive skin, I'm always cautious when choosing exfoliating products. While I don't exfoliate often, I make sure to do it once a week during summer when my skin gets oilier and I'm more prone to blemishes around my chin and forehead. I had a go-to exfoliator, but I decided to switch to Primera's Mild and Perfect Facial Peeling Gel because of the brand's reputation for gentle products. I'm happy to report that it worked well for my skin and caused almost no irritation. The product has a clear, thick gel texture. After cleansing and drying your face, you pump some out and gently massage it onto your skin. Since it's free from granules, there's no scratchy or stinging sensation when it touches your skin. Sometimes gel-type exfoliators can ball up excessively as you rub them in, which can be harsh on the skin. This one doesn't do that much, so it's gentler on your complexion. After use, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry. When I touch my face, it definitely feels smoother. I've tried the pad version from the same line, which was a bit irritating for me, but this gel formula is much more suitable and truly gentle. If you have sensitive skin and thought you couldn't use exfoliating products at all, I'd recommend trying a non-irritating gel formula like this one first. The 100ml size is really small. I was a bit surprised when I first opened it. I wish it came in a 200ml bottle. After using an exfoliating product, give your skin a day's break before applying functional products like vitamin serums or retinol. - vc******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 27, 2025
It's a pretty standard peeling gel. Nothing particularly impressive, but nothing to complain about either. I don't have any major disappointments with it. Maybe a bit of skin irritation? But that's somewhat unavoidable with peeling gels... This peeling gel seems to be a middle-of-the-road product. It does its job in removing dead skin cells without any standout features. The slight irritation mentioned is common with exfoliating products, so it's not a significant drawback. It might be suitable for those looking for a basic exfoliator without any bells and whistles. - aa******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 26, 2025
Highly recommended for gentle exfoliation! This is a product I use consistently :) The scent is reminiscent of lemon, but I'd prefer if it were even gentler on the skin and unscented This review highlights the product's effectiveness as a mild exfoliant, praising its suitability for regular use. However, the reviewer expresses a preference for an unscented version, suggesting that the current lemon-like fragrance might be a bit strong for their liking. They also indicate a desire for an even gentler formulation, which could be particularly appealing for those with sensitive skin or who prioritize very mild skincare products. - gs****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 25, 2025
Among exfoliators, this one stands out for its gentle formula, making it suitable for frequent use. While it's gentle, it may not have the strongest cleansing power compared to more intense exfoliators. This product offers a balance between gentleness and effectiveness, ideal for those with sensitive skin or who prefer regular, mild exfoliation. However, if you're looking for a more intense treatment, you might find its cleansing ability a bit lacking. - dc******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 3, 2025
I stumbled upon this product by chance, and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's refreshingly cool on the skin without any irritation, and I find myself reaching for it quite often. To really tackle those stubborn dead skin cells, you'd need to use this consistently for a long time. For those pesky dead skin cells, it's better to use something more potent first. After that, this product works great for daily care. I use it every day. With daily use, you won't see any white residue or flaking. I recommend using this before your foam cleanser. Follow it up with your foam cleanser. - sh**********Dehydrated SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2025
It gently exfoliates dead skin cells without irritation, making it suitable for sensitive skin. While it does improve skin texture, it might be too gentle as I feel it doesn't effectively remove dead skin cells. This product seems to strike a balance between gentleness and effectiveness, which is particularly beneficial for those with sensitive skin. However, if you're looking for more intense exfoliation, you might find it lacking. It's important to consider your skin's specific needs when choosing an exfoliator. - ba******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 12, 2025
True to its name, it's gentle enough to remove dead skin cells without irritating your skin. Primera products can be a bit pricey when they're not on sale, but that's really the only downside. - q7********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMay 11, 2025
It effectively removes dead skin cells, but I can't really think of any other specific benefits. While it does a good job of exfoliating, I feel like my skin tends to feel quite dry after I finish washing my face. - 20*****Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 6, 2025
For dry skin, I don't think there's a better exfoliator out there. You absolutely must try this. There's no eye irritation or tingling sensation at all, and the particles are completely gentle. But it's so effective at removing dead skin cells, you'll want to keep this your little secret! It's a shame how quickly I used it up. I even ended up using all the samples instead of sharing them with friends! I find it's sufficient to use a moderate amount, like you would with an emulsion. Too little can cause friction on the skin, while too much can lead to pilling. - rs*****Dehydrated SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 4, 2025
I believe everyone goes through periods when dead skin cells build up more easily. This product feels like it gently and gradually removes those dead skin cells, making it gentle on the skin and really nice to use. You might not feel an explosive exfoliation effect in a short time. While it's definitely mild, it's not quite perfect - there's a slight sense of something missing. Still, it's good overall.
