Insane staying power! This monster product I discovered after extensive searching is a game-changer. I recommended it to a friend who always struggled with eyeliner smudging due to her monolids, and it totally saved her! Unlike other famous eyeliners that tend to flake off, this one stays put exactly where you apply it until you decide to remove it. There's absolutely nothing to complain about. The biggest mistake was discontinuing this product - it's such a shame! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2019
Skinfood's Viva-Waterproof Brush Pen Eyeliner review coming up! The waterproof formula is incredibly impressive. It stays put so well that even a trip to the water park won't budge it. Talk about staying power! The pen tip tends to thicken over time, which can make application quite challenging. Also, the color is an intense jet black that might be a bit too bold for those who prefer a more subtle look. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 21, 2018
It's my first time trying this and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The color payoff is quite intense! It feels just about right? There's a bit of fallout, but it's still worth giving a try. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 14, 2018
For reference, I have oily yet hydrated eyes. I've tried all the hyped-up eyeliners out there. Usually, they smudge, fade, and become a mess, so I always had to set my eyeliner with powder to control the oiliness. I bought this one on a friend's recommendation without much thought, and I've been using it for 3 years now, unable to switch to anything else! It's neither too thick nor too thin, making it easy to apply. The pigmentation is top-notch! It's great for creating defined eyes. It seems to be really resistant to oil. As you use it, the pen tip gradually spreads out (for the black one). The brown version has a different pen shape. It doesn't smudge, but there's a bit of powder-like fallout. It disappears when you cry... that's a bit disappointing. The biggest drawback is that after some use, the cap doesn't close properly and opens freely in your makeup bag! (This might be due to how it's used, though!) - sw******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDec 20, 2017
Haha! I swung by Skinfood and quickly tried it on. It looked great, so I bought it. But after reading the reviews here, I realize I might have shot myself in the foot! So far, it's okay for me. I'll use it for a month and come back to update my review. Fingers crossed! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinNov 12, 2017
* The rich color is fantastic * Easy to apply * Affordable price * Tends to smudge around the eyes due to tears or oily skin * The cap occasionally comes loose - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 22, 2017
It's an incredibly bold black and the brush is designed for easy application. As soon as this came out, a friendly staff member highly recommended it, and it's become my holy grail. For me, eyeliner is the essence of my makeup look - I draw it on quite thick. In my case, there's absolutely no smudging and it stays on remarkably well. Everyone around me is using this now! I usually get bored with cosmetic packaging quickly, so I rarely repurchase the same product right away. But this one has become a constant in my routine. That's how few flaws it has. Some people around me have mentioned that it can be challenging to draw thin lines with it. Highly recommended for those who like to draw bold, defined lines. Not recommended for those who prefer a subtle, natural-looking line. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopic SkinSep 16, 2017
Well... I like it overall! But I switched to Clio and didn't repurchase... haha. I bought the brown shade, and it looked naturally pretty! As a student, I only draw a thin line at the outer corner of my eyes. It's great because it's not too noticeable when applied close to the lash line. The brush is thin, so it's perfect for drawing fine lines! I don't think there was anything particularly disappointing! This was my first brush pen eyeliner after using eyebrow pencils or eyeshadow to create subtle eyeliner. It was easy to use and worked well! I'm currently using Clio's eyeliner, but when I put it in my makeup pouch with other items, the surface print peeled off, leaving powder everywhere, which was a bit annoying. This one didn't have that issue with the surface print peeling off, so that was good! Oh, but there was some excess powder if you rubbed your eyes or touched them... Like other reviews mentioned, it did seem to run out quickly... But it wasn't actually finished. I just trimmed a tiny bit off the brush tip, and it worked well again! - dl*****Combination SkinAug 10, 2017
Honestly, there's nothing good to say about this product. For that price, I would have been better off buying Innisfree. It's not even that cheap. Natural color payoff? Nope. It applies clumpy, like layering marker on top of marker. Takes forever to dry. Only comes in two shades, and the brush flexibility is mediocre at best. Not worth the hype. - Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 27, 2017
It doesn't seem to smudge much, and I love how intense the color is! I don't think it's waterproof, unfortunately. It comes off easily when rubbed.
