Wow, I've always struggled with dead skin cells and lack of hydration and moisture on my lips, but I stumbled upon this while shopping for perfume and it's totally worth the price! The flaky skin just quiets down, my lips become moisturized, and it even gives them a healthy color. The scent is natural, and it doesn't feel suffocating like some lip products that sit heavily on your lips. Instead, it absorbs well, leaving your lips comfortably hydrated. Plus, it maintains a slight protective layer on the surface. The formula isn't particularly firm, so even though the case is sturdy, if you give it a big knock... well, it tends to tilt to one side. When you twist it up to use, it comes up at an angle. You can somewhat level it out by tapping the opposite side, but it's a bit finicky. It's the kind of stick formula that might get a bit melty if left in a warm place. You can even apply this before bed to nourish and maintain moisturized lips while you sleep. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinDec 1, 2020
It doesn't leave a greasy shine. The scent isn't overpowering, and it maintains just the right level of moisture. The color seems to sit on top of the lips a bit. I'd recommend this more for those who apply it like a lip balm over regular lipstick, rather than on completely dry lips. Personally, I find it suits autumn better than winter. - dm********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 15, 2020
The Sugar Lips collection is great because they're all moisturizing and the color payoff isn't too bold They can melt and get mushy in hot summer weather. I learned you shouldn't keep them in your pocket, but store them properly - je*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 9, 2020
Color: Absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommended for those who love natural makeup and have fair skin. It's a pink with a hint of purple. While the Tulip shade from the same line is very pink, the Poppy shade is a bit redder, creating a mysterious rose color that's mature yet still youthful. Moisturizing: No dead skin cells accentuated. The hydration lasts long! No dryness or itching after use. Lip balm + Lipstick: Though it's a lip treatment, it feels more like a lipstick. It's like a moisturizing lipstick with the benefits of a lip balm. Highly recommended! Natural look: I have thick lips, and lip tints often made them stand out too much. But this applies smoothly and evenly, making it very easy to create a gradient effect. I loved that I could shape my lips exactly how I wanted. Price: It's expensive... Keep an eye out for duty-free shops. Texture: While it's nice and soft, it can easily melt and become mushy in hot weather. Treatment?: It feels more like a regular lip makeup product rather than a treatment for lip health. The ingredients don't seem to be particularly gentle. I was fine after using it, but my mom had an allergic reaction. It seems to vary from person to person. Transfer: Ugh, it transfers a lot. It also comes off easily. Store in a cool place. - ha********Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2019
For a lip balm, it has great color payoff and is moisturizing. The hydrating effect lasts even after removal, making it perfect for a light application in the morning or before work, with the option to layer a matte lipstick later. The packaging is sturdy and attractive, making it an excellent gift option. Everyone who received it loved it and praised its performance. It's ideal for those with naturally dark lips looking for a lipstick alternative, or for those who dislike sticky lip glosses and prefer a lightweight, adhering colored lip balm. The texture is slightly tacky, which can cause the color to clump a bit. The price point is more in line with department store lipsticks than typical lip balms, making it somewhat expensive. The material feels a bit like steel, giving it a noticeable weight, and the twist-open cap can be difficult to open one-handed when you're in a hurry. With the abundance of color lip balms with good ingredients available these days (like Isoi, Burt's Bees, etc.), it's worth carefully considering the value for money before purchasing. For longer-lasting color, try applying a water tint as a base before layering this on top for a beautiful lip look. It also works quite well with a bare face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2019
First off, the scent is lovely. When I apply it lightly on my bare face before heading out, it naturally gives my lips a rosy tint, making me look healthier. It's also wonderfully hydrating. Unfortunately, it melts easily. In summer, it's impossible to carry around and use. Even in winter, if I keep it in my pocket indoors for just a moment, it softens up and applies too thickly. While its moisturizing quality is likely the cause, it makes controlling the amount quite challenging. - se******Dry SkinAtopic SkinNov 13, 2018
I have extremely dry lips that are prone to dead skin cells, so when I buy lip products, I focus on hydration. That's why I chose Fresh products that combine tint and lip balm. I've used three Fresh products: Sugar Lip Treatment in Coral, Sugar Advanced Therapy, and currently, I'm using the Lip Treatment in Poppy. First off, Fresh lip products have amazing hydration! My lips crack and chap much less than before. I find myself reaching for this product often. It's great that I can use it up completely without waste. And it's so easy to remove! Unlike other tints that stain heavily and require lip and eye remover (which can irritate your lips), this product comes off with just water. Another plus is the lovely scent - it's a subtle mix of lemon and floral notes. Of course, scent is subjective, so it's best to visit a store and smell it yourself before deciding. I've noticed that most people prioritize longevity and color staining. To be honest, Fresh products don't last long on the lips. While they provide hydration, the color fades quickly. And there's no staining at all. Regarding the shades, the Coral product I used before was vibrant and slightly pink-red, but the Poppy shade... honestly, it looks a bit dull on the lips. It's red, but with a purple undertone. When worn alone, to put it nicely, it looks subdued... but to be frank, it darkens the lips. I've attached a photo, but in person, the purple tone is even more noticeable. Since it looks a bit dark when worn alone, try applying this product first and then layering a brighter tint on top. It looks much prettier that way! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 10, 2018
The SPF ingredients provide lip protection too! The moisturizing and subtly refreshing floral scent makes you want to keep applying it over and over. (However, due to the drawbacks, I ended up buying two but couldn't use them, so they're now buried in my drawer...) 1. It's too soft. When applying, it gets messy around the edges of the case. 2. It's too thick. It's too thick for my lips, making it difficult to apply quickly without a mirror. 3. The color payoff is poor, so you need to apply multiple layers, which makes your lips feel heavy. It's probably not suitable for summer use at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 8, 2018
The best thing is how naturally it enhances my lip color. I often go out wearing just this, without any other makeup! The staying power is weak, but that's to be expected from a lip balm. It's a bit disappointing that it transfers so easily when drinking water or beverages. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 5, 2018
It's great that I can use this like a lip balm when I'm heading out. Unlike other models in the same line that have terrible color payoff, this one has the advantage of suiting any complexion effortlessly. This isn't the product to rely on if you're expecting long-lasting wear. It would make a lovely gift - the recipient would be thrilled, and there's no need to worry about matching their skin tone.
