A brand and scent that feel like home: I have such fond memories of using Johnson's Baby Emulsion as a kid that the brand itself feels incredibly familiar and comforting. There's something really soothing about that signature soft baby powder scent—it just puts me in a good mood whenever I catch a whiff of it. Straightforward, no-fuss texture: The formula itself is clean and unpretentious—just a simple oil without any unnecessary extras. The hydration is genuinely effective, so when I apply it to dry areas, I can feel them become smooth and supple right away. Limited ways to use it: I feel like this would be amazing for moisturizing or massage, but since I don't really do massage routines, I don't reach for it as often as I'd like. Since I have oily skin, applying it all over my body feels a bit too heavy, which means I'm stuck with pretty limited ways to use it—and that's disappointing. Too much residue for oily skin: Even after it absorbs, there's still that characteristic slick, greasy feeling left behind. When it touches areas like my back or chest where I tend to get oily, I get nervous about blemishes popping up. People who prefer a fresh, clean finish might find this one hit or miss. When your elbows and knees look ashy and white, it can actually make your whole complexion look dull and tired. Try dabbing just a tiny bit on those dry spots before heading out—it'll give you a clean, luminous glow. If applying it all over your face and body feels like too much, here's a trick: right after showering when your skin is still damp, just drop one tiny drop and rinse it in. This way, the oil layer stays thin and lightweight, so even if you have oily skin, you can get that hydration boost without worrying about blemishes. Or try using it on your nail cuticles to keep your hands looking neat and polished! - tl*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcneAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 9, 2026 (UTC+0)
My body has extremely rough, bumpy texture and is incredibly dehydrated. Even though I apply emulsion daily, I experience dead skin cells flaking off during every season except summer—it's been so frustrating. I accidentally got some on my hand one day and decided to try it, and now I use it every single day. It absorbs quickly without any sticky residue, which I absolutely love. My skin has become noticeably softer too. Since this is an oil-based product, my hands feel greasy after application. The bigger issue is that the cap has a twist-on design, so every time I open and close it, oil inevitably gets on the surface. That's been inconvenient for me. During winter, I layer this oil with an emulsion in the same scent, and I've noticed the hydration lasts so much longer that way.

It absorbs beautifully and leaves my complexion feeling so hydrated and comfortable. If I apply too much, I end up with small blemishes, which is frustrating. Plus, it transfers onto my clothes, which is annoying. - a4*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 21, 2026 (UTC+0)
Baby oil is absolutely essential for caring for delicate baby skin! Especially during those dry winter months, nothing compares to it. I found it works beautifully for my little one's skin, which always needs that extra hydration. I love mixing it with other nourishing products like moisturizing creams and barrier repair balms to create an even more effective hydrating treatment. It really makes a difference! The only downside is that it feels quite rich and slick, so if you try to wipe it off right away, you'll just waste tissues. You really need to wait a bit before gently removing any excess. I've discovered that using it solo isn't quite as effective as blending it together with a hydrating moisturizer. When I layer them together, the results are so much better!

I'm pregnant and I apply it generously before putting on my stretch mark cream. There's really nothing to complain about, except the product leaks a little bit from the container. Grab it when it goes on sale! - xf********Combination SkinAcneSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedFeb 11, 2026 (UTC+0)
Honestly, since I picked this up overseas, Johnson's is pretty much the only baby oil product that comes close to it. But you know what? This baby oil is actually great! I don't really notice any significant difference between this and Johnson's. Since it's a baby oil, there's no getting around the fact that it has a rich, oily texture. You really do need to be careful about how much you use. Here's my trick: after cleansing, pat your skin lightly with a towel until it's just barely damp—not dripping wet. Then use just one drop for each arm and one to two drops for each leg, and massage it in along with that remaining moisture on your skin. It absorbs beautifully that way, and the excess moisture almost disappears on its own. Just do a final gentle pat with your towel and you're done! - dy*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcneFeb 9, 2026 (UTC+0)
I loved how this kept my skin feeling hydrated even after showering. I developed bumpy irritation that looked like heat rash, which was really disappointing. I think it might be from the mineral oil, so if you have super sensitive skin, definitely be cautious with this one. - js*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDec 30, 2025 (UTC+0)
At first, I was really happy with how smoothly this absorbs and how well it spreads on my skin. I broke out in hives all over my body. If you have super sensitive skin like me, please don't buy this. I'm so disappointed. The reviewer initially enjoyed the product's smooth application and good absorption, but experienced an allergic reaction that caused them to strongly warn others with sensitive skin against purchasing it. - wa*****Oily SkinAcneBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 27, 2025 (UTC+0)
This moisturizer glides on smoothly and absorbs beautifully into your skin, locking in hydration that lasts all day long. Apply it right after your shower or whenever your skin feels parched, and you'll notice it leaves your complexion feeling incredibly soft and comfortable. It's the perfect daily hydration solution for keeping your skin nourished and happy. Because it has a rich texture, you might find it feels a bit heavy during the summer months. If you apply too much, it can leave a sticky residue on your skin, so you'll want to use a light hand and adjust the amount based on what your skin needs that day.
sh********Oily SkinAcneDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 19, 2025 (UTC+0)I absolutely love mixing this into my basic skincare routine, and it works wonderfully on nails and hair too! Honestly, baby oil is the one-stop solution for everything. You know how we're supposed to switch up our skincare with the seasons, right? Well, the smart move is adjusting based on your oil and moisture balance. That's what makes it so versatile at any age! The only downside is that applying too much on your face can trigger a breakout situation, so less is definitely more here. Plus, you can grab it super affordably at the drugstore!
