I bought this as a sunscreen for when I'm applying makeup. Since I'm not one to reapply, I opted for a high SPF. The pink tint helps correct my yellowish complexion, and although it's slightly rich, it absorbs well. It's convenient to use alone or mix with foundation or BB cream. I only realized it was called a 'fixer' while writing this review. I've never felt it helped set my makeup. It leaves a shimmery finish as if I've applied a thin layer, so there's no clean finish. They say you need to apply a lot for proper sun protection, but if I increase the amount, it starts to pill and feels like it would turn into cakey makeup. The scent is really unpleasant. On days I wear a mask, it's truly miserable. It makes me feel unwell. It helps neutralize the color when mixed with a grayish BB cream. - sj*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsApr 25, 2021
I used the Moonshot cushion as a substitute for sunscreen. It gives a nice pink-based brightening effect, and even when it fades later in the day, it does so quite gracefully. However, is it really necessary? There are many other better products out there, so I don't plan to repurchase. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2021
I haven't worn it outside yet, but it gives such a natural brightening effect. If you're looking for a dramatic change in complexion, this might not be for you! Personally, I love that it doesn't alter my skin tone too much. It's great as both a makeup base and sunscreen in one. After reading reviews, I was a bit influenced by comments about its lack of staying power. However, since I haven't actually worn it out yet, I'll come back to update my review later. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesRecommendedMar 18, 2020
I'm quite satisfied with this product. It has decent adherence and a high SPF, making it a great substitute for sunscreen. It's moisturizing and seems to even out my complexion. Plus, it significantly improves the longevity of my makeup. Overall, I had a positive experience. Looking at it now, I'm a bit disappointed with the ingredients. However, I didn't experience any blemishes when I used it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 10, 2020
I received this as a gratis sample. The absorption is nice, and when applied before makeup, there's no pilling or white cast. I really liked that. The oil layer separates too much from the rest of the product. Also, the scent is so unpleasant that it makes me suspect the ingredients aren't good. I wouldn't spend my own money on this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 6, 2019
Applying this before makeup really enhances the staying power. Even after hours, my makeup doesn't clump or feel heavy. It's fantastic! There aren't any major drawbacks, but if I had to point out one, the texture feels a bit thick when applying. I'd recommend using a puff for better application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 11, 2019
It absorbs nicely and gives my face a radiant look! When I apply this product and then put on cushion foundation over it, it tends to pill a bit and doesn't seem to adhere well to the skin. By lunchtime or evening, my skin starts to get oily... - tu******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 8, 2019
Oh my goodness, this is my holy grail! I'm one of those people whose cushion foundation usually lasts only an hour on my face, while others get two hours of wear. I've tried everything - setting sprays, mists, creams, you name it. But this... this works magic, extending my wear time from three hours to seven! I've almost used it all up and I'm definitely repurchasing. What's more, even though I have slightly dry skin, I can use powder over this without my skin cracking. (Results may vary, of course!) There's hardly anything to complain about. The only thing to watch out for is applying too much. If you overdo it, it might actually absorb more of your cushion foundation, preventing it from reaching its full potential for longevity. Remember, moderation is key! Here's a winning combination for unlimited staying power: Moonshot fixer + Mamonde Cotton Veil Powder Pact + the Pony Effect cushion in the white case. This trio is absolute fire, folks! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 4, 2019
This is a genuine review based on my purchase. Initially, I was really impressed. It even held my foundation in place when it seemed like it would slide right off my face. I noticed some large, bumpy blemishes, but I didn't think much of it at the time. However, after using it for about a week, things changed. The product started to pill on my skin like dead skin cells. It broke down in less than 90 minutes, emphasizing my pores and skin texture. The most shocking part was when I rubbed my skin - the product just peeled off like it was dirt. I'm not sure why this happened. Regarding the ingredients: My skin typically breaks out when it's not in good condition and stays clear when it is. However, given that the ingredients aren't particularly great, I feel a bit uneasy about applying this regularly before going out. As mentioned above, the price is a major issue! It's quite expensive for the amount you get. The absorption wasn't particularly good, and I didn't feel like it adhered to my skin exceptionally well. The scent is definitely polarizing - it has that strong, typical foundation smell. If you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to reconsider! For better longevity, try dotting the product on your face and then patting it in with a dry puff. Then apply your foundation using the same dry puff technique. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2019
I'm using this instead of sunscreen, and it not only provides sun protection but also works great as a makeup base. It's disappointing that the volume is so small compared to the price. I'd buy more if they increased the size or lowered the price.
