Highly effective for pustular acne. For spot treatment. After 2-3 days, the pus dries up and falls off like a scab. Unfortunately, it seems to be discontinued, so I'm using it sparingly as I can't find it anywhere... It dries out the area where applied. Not suitable for those sensitive to sulfur (my husband had a reaction). However, it works well for me.

I generally have good skin, but before my period, I get one or two large pustular blemishes that take a month to subside as I age, leaving dark spots. Ugh! If I apply it at the right time when a blemish is about to surface, it goes down within two days without fully emerging. Applying it for another day or two after that clears up the whole menstrual cycle breakout. The effect is immediate. I also dab it with a cotton swab on existing blemishes, as it seems to have a spot-treating effect. The scent is somewhat concerning - it has a strong, intimidating medicinal smell that makes you feel like it might peel off all your skin. When applied, it can feel quite hot and burning on the skin. It's a bit scary, so I tend to use it sparingly. I've only just looked up the ingredients now, and they're not as harsh as I expected. Many reviews mention that this product causes dead skin cells to form after use. When applied, it dries and hardens, peeling off like a thin film. I suppose that's part of the healing process? Since it has those properties, it's best to apply it carefully as a spot treatment before bed for blemish care. In the morning, I found that if I applied a very thin layer, it dried quickly and didn't cause any pilling when I applied makeup over it. The peeling seems to happen only with thicker application. Anyway, it's super effective for spot treatments. Don't apply it around your eyes - it would probably be too harsh for that delicate area. When I first started using it, I was amazed by its effectiveness despite the suspiciously strong smell. After using it for a long time, it seemed to stop working, so I put it away. But when I suddenly had a bad breakout, I started using it again in a panic, and it's working well once more. Maybe taking a break helped? I'm starting to use it again now.
