Highly effective for pustular acne. For spot treatment. After 2-3 days, the pus dries up and falls off like a scab. Unfortunately, it seems to be discontinued, so I'm using it sparingly as I can't find it anywhere... It dries out the area where applied. Not suitable for those sensitive to sulfur (my husband had a reaction). However, it works well for me. - ci******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityNov 7, 2017
I've been using this for a while now. I generally have good skin, but before my period, I get one or two large pustular blemishes that take a month to subside as I age, leaving dark spots. Ugh! If I apply it at the right time when a blemish is about to surface, it goes down within two days without fully emerging. Applying it for another day or two after that clears up the whole menstrual cycle breakout. The effect is immediate. I also dab it with a cotton swab on existing blemishes, as it seems to have a spot-treating effect. The scent is somewhat concerning - it has a strong, intimidating medicinal smell that makes you feel like it might peel off all your skin. When applied, it can feel quite hot and burning on the skin. It's a bit scary, so I tend to use it sparingly. I've only just looked up the ingredients now, and they're not as harsh as I expected. Many reviews mention that this product causes dead skin cells to form after use. When applied, it dries and hardens, peeling off like a thin film. I suppose that's part of the healing process? Since it has those properties, it's best to apply it carefully as a spot treatment before bed for blemish care. In the morning, I found that if I applied a very thin layer, it dried quickly and didn't cause any pilling when I applied makeup over it. The peeling seems to happen only with thicker application. Anyway, it's super effective for spot treatments. Don't apply it around your eyes - it would probably be too harsh for that delicate area. When I first started using it, I was amazed by its effectiveness despite the suspiciously strong smell. After using it for a long time, it seemed to stop working, so I put it away. But when I suddenly had a bad breakout, I started using it again in a panic, and it's working well once more. Maybe taking a break helped? I'm starting to use it again now. - as****Combination SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2017
When applied gently to areas with blemishes, they quickly subside The scent is a bit strong, if I may say. Also, as the blemishes heal, they tend to cause some flaking of dead skin cells - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 11, 2017
I've been using this for years now. It doesn't cause frequent blemishes, and when I occasionally get one, I apply this after extracting it, let it dry a bit, then put on a patch. The blemish heals within a day or two at the fastest. The effectiveness is truly excellent. It can sting quite a bit when applying, and the case feels like those easily damaged hand cream tubes. If you're not careful when twisting the cap, it can get damaged... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2016
The ultimate solution for calming your skin after popping a pimple! Wake up to noticeably reduced blemishes. I feel uneasy without it! The packaging is a bit fragile. It would be even better if they could improve that aspect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 15, 2016
I originally used tea tree oil from The Body Shop, but when I discovered this on O* website, it felt like a whole new world! So I decided to buy it. It's gentler than the oil for sure. Plus, being a gel formula, it's more convenient and not bad for hydration either. While it might help with soothing blemishes, it doesn't seem to do much for reducing them. I've noticed many people have strong opinions about the scent, either loving or hating it. (Personally, I'm on the HO... side) Use this after evening out your skin texture with toner! I feel like it works even better when applied before a hydrating mask (I usually use wash-off masks). - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2016
When applied gently to large, red, painful blemishes that haven't come to a head, it calms them down overnight It's ineffective on small, closed comedones. When I spread it over a larger area with many blemishes, my skin actually got worse. It's extremely irritating to my super sensitive skin Apply it precisely to blemishes using a cotton swab - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 12, 2016
I've been using this for over 3 years because it works so well. I have oily skin, so I occasionally get blemishes, but when I do, I just dab a bit on the affected areas before bed, and they calm down quickly. It seems particularly effective for treating one or two isolated blemishes. The scent is a bit strong, and it can feel slightly tingly on sensitive areas at times. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2016
The tea tree ingredient might cause a slight tingling sensation, but it quickly subsides The scent is a bit strong, but that's typical for most blemish-fighting products Good value for money - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 1, 2016
It has a soothing effect when applied to inflamed blemishes. The cool sensation of the ointment is also pleasant. The cool feeling of the ointment might be a hit or miss for some people. It seems best to use just enough to cover the affected area. Applying more doesn't seem to improve its effectiveness.
